Bailadose, also known as the Cylindrical Aparoid, is a minor antagonist and the fifth boss of the 2005 video game, Star Fox: Assault.

Appearance[]
Before being infected by the Aparoidedation, Bailadose started off as a cylinder-shaped power generator tower that was designed to power up the shields to stop the blizzards. After being corrupted by Pigma using the Divergant's Core Memory, it gives in to its further mutation with a purple coating on some of its plating as it grows a pair of insect-like legs and the hatch becoming its mouth that not only summons Aparoid Support Crafts and beams but exposes its weak point for Fox to shoot at it in order to defeat it.
Biography[]
Past[]
Back when Fichina was a frigid wasteland, Bailadose was created as one of the shield generators by the Cornerian Army as part of their plan to stop the blizzards and make Fichina inhabitable. Once the Climate Control Center was established, the shield generators were powering up the shield to stop the blizzards. With thanks to the effort, Fichina was colonized into become a suitable inhabitable world for the Cornerian Army to establish their civilization.
Star Fox: Assault[]
During the events of the Aparoid invasion, Pigma led the Aparoids to the planet after he stole a Core Memory from the Divergant and shuts down the three towers to deactivate the shield before using the Core Memory on the said shield generator tower. Fox arrives and manages to restore power and the climate control center, the Aparoid-infected Ruins ambush Fox provoking him long enough for Falco to rescue him and get into the air to deal with the Aparoids reinforcements. Slippy make an analysis that the Ruins have infact became Aparoids after they use the Aparoidedation to take over machines, which is confirmed true as Pigma comes out of hiding.
As these change of events occur, Bailadose's was assimilated and converted into an Aparoid with a detonation sequence to obliterate the entire Climate Control Center. Unable to catch Pigma at this time and not willing to have Fichina become uninhabitable, Fox fights against the infected machine and successfully destroys it, preventing its self-destruction program. Despite its destruction, Pigma 's actions led to the Climate Control Center to be taken much damage with requirement for repairs and the system in requirement for reevaluation. Bailadose's assimilation gave everyone thoughts that everyone who did not possess a strong will would eventually turn evil reminding him of Pigma for his betrayal against Star Fox.
Trivia[]
- If the player fails to defeat Bailadose before the self-destruct program was complete, the Climate Control Center will explode resulting in a game over.
