Bajillia Naire was a wealthy businesswoman and the founder and CEO of Squid Ink Inc who wanted to create war across the universe to profit endlessly and the secondary antagonist of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. She is the mother of Squillia Naire.
She was voiced by Amanda Billing.
Biography[]
Past[]
Her background is mostly unknown but it was stated that Bajillia Naire founded Squid Ink Inc. and had a history of manufacturing, building, and selling weapons for profit and mining planets of their resources using her Squidrills, at one point, she hatched an idea of furthering their finances by intending to trigger an all-out universal war and make profit out of it. She even hired Scrozzle at some point after he betrayed Lord Zedd during his plan to create new Sporix Beasts. From then on, he worked as a contractor for Squid Ink Inc. where he would build new weapons in exchange for being paid although he never was.
Around six months after Void Queen's redemption and the ultimate defeat of the Sporix, Squid Ink Inc. come to the planet Zordnia to mine it but track a strong energy signal to find Lord Zedd trapped in crystal. They free him at the cost of the lives of forty scientists whilst taking the Green Morphin Master captive. Aware of Zedd's return, the Morphin Masters resurrect Zayto and have him bring the Dino Fury Rangers to help them in fighting Zedd on Zordnia.
Cosmic Fury[]
Once on Zordnia, the Rangers and the Morphin Masters join Billy Cranston and Mick Kanic but are faced with an army of Squid Inc.'s monsters. Zedd views them defeating the monsters and Zentinals but, with help from Bajillia and Scrozzle (now working for Squid Ink after betraying Zedd), they use the Master Captivator to capture all six of the Morphin Masters and has Ollie turned evil again thanks to Doodrip. Despite this, the Dino Fury Rangers, Billy Cranston and Mick Kanic escape so Lord Zedd is given control of Squid Ink's armada and Bajillia aids Zedd in preparing a massive invasion on Earth. In the process, they almost drill into the Dinohenge to have the Rangers killed before escaping into space.
Bajillia later finds the Cosmic Dragon Zord and has it broadcast in the news, intending to use said Zord for Ollie to pilot and enhance Zedd's forces. However, this ends up failing when the Cosmic Fury Rangers are able to retrieve the Dragon Zord, and decides to take matters into her own hands by facing them in one of her Squidrills in battle form. Instead, she is defeated and then berated by Zedd for failure and is assigned with Ollie to find the Rangers and steal their Zords. She and Ollie arrive in Erridis, tasking the latter to do the deed before it ends in failure once again. She is then seen with Lord Zedd regarding his uses for the Master Captivator, not before she heads down to Earth to retrieve Squillia to save her reputation.
She arrives in Pine Ridge and invades the Resistance's base, fighting the Rangers and getting her daughter back. She frees Squillia from her sleep and has her fight alongside her against the Rangers but she and Squillia are then overwhelmed by the Rangers' efforts, using Squillia as a shield to block the final attack. Unbeknownst to the Rangers, Bajillia survives exploding and regenerates so she appears with Zedd in a message to the Cosmic Fury Rangers, revealing her survival and helping Zedd obtain the Morphin Masters' energy, not before Ollie, now back to normal, attacks them and warns the Rangers about Zedd's intentions before the feed got cut off. As the Rangers manage to rescue Ollie, Mucus, and Slyther, Bajillia rigs the fortress to explode to kill the Rangers and the Sporix Beasts alike. They are able to survive the explosion thanks to Zayto but it causes him to go back to the Morphin Grid after using up all of his magic.
Bajillia then appears alongside Scrozzle and a squad of Zentinels, trapping Lord Zedd, now a Morphin Master, within the Master Captivator and taking out the Rangers, cornering them as a result. She then broadcasts her true intentions live, revealing that she will unleash Zedd's energy wave of pure evil onto the universe, eradicating all that is good (a similar act where Zordon sacrificed himself and used his energy wave of good to wipe out the United Alliance of Evil) for the purpose of having investors buy her weapons and make profit out of the intergalactic war she will cause.
As she prepares to have it unleashed, this attempt is stopped by the last second thanks to Mucus and Slyther stealing a Squidrill and firing at her. She then orders her entire fleet of Squidrills to blockade Eltar to trap the Rangers but manages to escape thanks to Mucus and Slyther's efforts, as well as previous Ranger teams. When the Rangers arrive on Zordnia, Bajillia appears before them to finally shatter the Captivator. Unfortunately, this proves to be her downfall when the Rangers combine the Cosmic Blaster to finish off Bajillia for good as her body dissolves into ink with no single trace of her left.
Legacy[]
Despite this, her blaster's aim ended up breaking the Captivator's glass and nearly unleashed Zedd's energy wave. These efforts were able to be in vain thanks to Zayto, who had been reborn as a Morphin Master, convincing Zedd to back down and release the Morphin Masters within him.
Personality[]
Bajillia was a greedy and malevolent businesswoman who would do anything for profit to raise the stocks of her corporation to fulfill her own benefit and gain. Seemingly a loyal pawn of Zedd's, she proved to be manipulative, managing to convince Zedd to be the head figure of an intergalactic war, an idea she came up with, and has Scrozzle set him up to become a Morphin Master as part of her plan. She's also a terrible boss to her workers, especially with Scrozzle, as she left him stranded in a cave for hours without any assistance coming to his rescue.
Despite being rather caring of her daughter, Squillia, she only intended to save her to prevent any harm coming at her own reputation and instantly used her as a shield to save her own skin.
Trivia[]
- Her name is a pun for "bajillionaire", befitting to her being a businesswoman.
- While not confirmed, Bajilia may have done business with the Troobian Empire and the Armada; seeing as they would pay very well for successful merchandise.
