Bakemon are frightening Ghost type Digimon and characters in the Digimon universe. They can flex out their hands as punches, and can also disguise themselves as humans. Their weakness is the chanting "Bakemon, lose your power".
Appearance[]
Bakemon are Champion Level Digimon that resembles a white torn-up sheet that makes them look like ghosts. Inside, they have claws that can stretch to great lengths.
Digimon Adventures 01[]
The Bakemon first appeared in "The Dancing Digimon", disguising themselves as preachers. They attempted to eat Sora and Joe, but were saved by Biyomon and Gomamon. The Bakemon fused into a huge Bakemon called Lord Bakemon. With the help of Joe chanting, "Bakemon, lose your power.", Birdramon and Ikkakumon killed him with their powers combined.
Later on, the Bakemon were the minions of the sinister Myotismon, led by Phantomon. They were all destroyed when Myotismon is defeated.
Digimon Adventures 02[]
Some Bakemon were used by the Digimon Emperor to bluff Davis into believing that he had his friends hostage above a Deltamon and forced Davis to make a choice between which of them lived. This bluff was called when the real ones appeared. They later appear as being controlled by dark rings but before they can be freed they are killed by Kimeramon.

Several Bakemon attacked Taichi and Sora.
Digimon World Data Squad[]
When Marcus and Yoshi were trying to figure out an electrical disturbance they encountered a Bakemon that was responsible for the disturbance. Thomas joined the fight. With their combined effort, they were able to defeat the Bakemon, until Bakemon Digivolved into Myotismon. Even with Bakemon's new form, Myotismon was defeated, and reverted back into a Digi-Egg.
