Bakir Hadad is the main antagonist of the S.W.A.T. episode "Day of Dread". He is a drug dealer wanted for killing five people in a home invasion.

He was portrayed by Yarrett Harper.

Biography

Hadad is a hardened criminal with a history of violence and a long criminal record. He was one of the original ten fugitives to be placed on Metro SWAT's most wanted list after he broke into a house and murdered an entire family, including the children, having mistaken it for the home of a rival dealer. He avoided being captured longer than anyone else on the list because he only came to LA occasionally to pick up his supply of drugs.

In "Day of Dread", SWAT get a tip-off that Hadad is at a weed farm in an apartment building on Anacapa Avenue. 20-Squad raid the apartment and capture Hadad's accomplice while he flees into the next apartment, occupied by a woman named Kayla Gleason. When Kayla gets in his way he hurls her aside, causing her to hit her head on a coffee table and die. Seconds later, officer Jim Street throws a flashbang into the apartment and stuns Hadad, who is then handcuffed and arrested. Seeing Kayla's body on the floor, Hadad begins laughing and accuses SWAT of killing her, which leads to an Internal Affairs investigation until eventually a video is found showing what really happened.

Hadad is presumably imprisoned for life afterwards.

Personality

Hadad's personality is not described in any detail as he only appears once. However, he is very smug and sadistic, laughing when he realises Kayla is dead. His years of avoiding arrest have caused him to become overconfident and he now believes himself to be too good to be caught, which ironically is what gets him exposed as he doesn't bother hiding his identity while in town. Finally, Hadad appears to be a coward, hurling Kayla out of the way in his hurry to flee the police and immediately trying to blame SWAT for her death.
