The Ballbusters are major antagonists in the Anton series. They are a mole-like species that first appear in the game Antonball, and its extended version, Antonball Deluxe as the main enemies of the games.
They then receive a much larger role in ANTONBLAST, where they are servants of Satan and commanded to steal Anton's liquor after their leader finds out he is the reddest being of all. Additionally, elite versions of the Ballbusters called the Bossbusters debut as the secondary antagonists of the game.
Appearance[]
Ballbusters are a stubby, anthropomorphic, mole creatures that wear spiked helmets and brown shoes. A variant of a Ballbuster in the ANTONBLAST level, "Hell Manor " also carries a gun with a lighter shaded helmet and shades.

Antonball[]
Ballbusters appear in the sixth and final level of the game. Here, they will drop from the top of the stage and wander around. If Anton touches a Ballbuster, he will lose a life. A way to remove Ballbusters is to jump above the platform they are standing on, or hitting them with a ball.
Antonball Deluxe[]
Ballbusters reprise their roles as the enemies in the extended remake. Here in the Arcade Mode, they first appear in the fifth level and now enter the level via pipe on the ceiling. In the Punchball Mode, the opening cutscene features a single Ballbuster, which is used as an example by Brulo on how to play the game. In that mode, Ballbusters appear more commonly as they are required to be defeated by Annie in order to progress from stage to stage.
Antonblast[]
Ballbusters are revealed to reside in Hell, and work for Satan as his minions. One day, when Satan finds out Anton is the reddest being of all, he commands his army of Ballbusters to steal his liquor. They break into Anton's house and loot all of his liquor for Satan before taking off. In addition to appearing as enemies in the levels, a group known as the Bossbusters make their debut in the game as elite versions of the Ballbusters.

- Bebo: A darker skinned Ballbuster that wears a propeller helmet. He appears in Antonball Deluxe as a playable character, and in Antonblast inside the Brulo's Casino aquarium.
- Brawlbuster: A yellow-skinned, muscular Ballbuster and the first member of the Bossbusters. He is a wrestler fought inside a wrestling area upon completion of the level "Slowroast Sewers."
- Tallbuster: A maroon-skinned, lanky Ballbuster and the second member of the Bossbusters. He is a slothful minion fought inside a hot tub room upon completion of the level "The Big Bath."
- Smallbuster: A cream-skinned, tiny Ballbuster and the third member of the Bossbusters. She is an inventor fought in a junkyard upon completion of the level "The Mad Mall."
- Maulbuster: A light-brown-skinned, broad Ballbuster and the fourth member of the Bossbusters. She is a theatre actress fought inside a concert hall upon completion of the level "Crimson Factory."
Variations[]
- Fallbusters: Blue Ballbusters that hang from a stage's ceiling and drop if the players are underneath them.
- Biggiebusters: A more plump variation that will patrol the stage. Can be defeated by attack it from the side.
- Blunderbusters: Brown-grayish skinned versions that don a safari outfit and wields a blunderbuss that shoots large pinballs.
- Flappers: Ballbuster that wear a propeller cap and goggles, and float in the air.
- Beelzebusters: Magenta demonic versions of Biggiebusters that wield pitchforks. Can be defeated from attacking it behind.
- Red Ballbusters: Magenta demonic versions of normal Ballbusters. Move much faster than normal Ballbusters.
