Balloon Zombie is one of the secondary antagonists of the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. He is a zombie who hooked with a balloon, who attempts to eat the homeowner's brains.
Plants vs. Zombies
Balloon Zombie was first introduced in the third level of Fog. When he entered the lawn, his height helped him hovers above straight shots from straight-shooting plants. Cacti and Cattails were essential to counter this zombie, as they popped his balloon to make him travel on foot and proceed as a normal zombie. Blover can also blow this zombie away from the battlefield, killing him instantly.
Plants vs. Zombies 2
Balloon Zombie returned in the ninth level of Modern Day with a similar appearance, but his functions were different from the first game. His balloon acts as armor, and he took damages by all kinds of projectiles, but spikes no longer popped his balloon. Like his first game counterpart, Blover can still kill him instantly, and he proceeds on foot after the balloon got destroyed.
