Bambietta Basterbine is a supporting antagonist in the manga/anime series, Bleach. She is a female member of the Wandenreich and is one of the elite soldiers ranked "E" - "The Explode" among the Sternritter.
She was voiced by Ayana Taketatsu in Japanese and by Anne Yatco (who also voiced Meninas McAllon in the same series) in English.
Appearance[]
Bambietta is a youthful-looking woman who wears the traditional Quincy uniform consisting of a white suit with a matching coat draped around her shoulders. She has long black hair and wears an officer's cap. As with most female Quincy, she wears a miniskirt instead of trousers with boots that almost reach her knees.
Personality[]
As befitting her powers, Bambietta has an explosive personality. She loves violence and carnage and reacts with girlish glee whenever she gains the upper hand in a battle. She hates being humiliated, comically exploding with anger when her classmates left her talking to herself. When she feels frustrated, she attracts men to cut them in half as an outlet.
Biography[]
Bambietta first appeared massacring soldiers of the Soul Society before being temporally stopped by 7th division captain Sajin Komamura prior to stealing his Bankai. After Yhwach and his companion defeated Ichigo Kurosaki, she, along with the rest of the forces to return to the Quincy palace hidden in the shadows of Soul Society.
After the sudden announcement of Uryū Ishida succeeding their leader, she proceeded to invite a soldier to her room under the pretense of "special relief". However, she soon kills him by slicing him in half. Her comrades Meninas, Candice, Giselle, and Liltotto each complain about how she always kills good-looking men to vent her stress.
During the second invasion of Soul Society, Bambietta finds that the Bankai she stole from Komamura has been returned to its rightful owner. She fights Komamura, who is assisted by 5th division captain Shinji Hirako and his lieutenant Momo Hinamori. Bambieta manages to defeat both Shinji and Momo by unleashing her full power, but Komamura is more durable than that. Komamura is able to unleash his Bankai's hidden potential and manages to wound Bambietta, at the cost of his own physical form. Bambietta survives but is met by her comrades, who decide to take charge, which terrifies Bambietta.
The next time Bambietta is seen, she is a reanimated corpse being controlled by her partner Giselle Gewelle. She acts as Giselle's bodyguard and shows signs that she's conscious throughout the whole ordeal. Giselle beats Bambietta for speaking up and she cowers in fright, showing how the hierarchy has changed. When Giselle sends Bambietta to fight 12th division captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi and his assistant/daughter Nemu, they find that Bambietta's powers have been deflected. Bambietta's body is used as a shield to escape the explosions.

- The Explode: Bambietta's Schrift lets her create bombs of Reishi, which can be used cause devastating explosions and damage at anything they come in contact with. Because they are made of Reishi and are not actual bombs, they cannot be blocked as doing so will end up causing them to explode.
- Reishi Manipulation: Much like her fellow Quincies, Bambietta is able to absorb and manipulate Reishi, converting it into her own form of weaponry.
- Great Spiritual Power: Bambietta possesses spiritual power comparable to that of a captain-level shinigami.
Abilities[]
Bambietta's Vollständig.
- Quincy Vollständig: Bambietta's Vollständig enhances the abilities of her Schrift, as well as grants her the ability of flight via her red wings made of Reishi. She can generate a multitude of bombs under her wings and the damage they cause are more potent in comparison to its regular state. Upon becoming a zombie, however, her Vollständig (along with her Schrift) were notably not as powerful as they were when she was alive.
Trivia[]
- Bambietta measures 156cm and is born on August, 6th.
- Its never stated if Bambi does have sex with the guys she kills or it was simply her ruse to lure them in. Though considering her uniform is ruffled and some of her bosom was exposed at the time she killed one, she may use them before killing them.
