SOS signal. Probably a wounded stalker.
~ The misleading signal

"Wounded stalker" and his partner are minor antagonists in the Ukrainian FPS Survival Horror video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

A bandit duo from Garbage, that attempted to trick stalkers into a scheme to ambush them.

Personalities[]

Unlike his partner who doesn't have any lines, dialogues or something to determine his personality, except for his willingness to kill, the bandit in disguise does have a lacking proper characteristic one, but still a personality: He appeared as a weak, help-seeking stalker that was wounded seemingly by a mutant, only to in reality be a homicidal thug who attempted to murder Mechenyj, who at the time was a rookie.

Appearances[]

The bandit in disguise, wears a basic stalker suit, popular among experienced stalkers, consisting of a light military bulletproof vest and a jumpsuit made out of rubberized fabric. It is reinforced with inserted kevlar plates and provides low levels of protection, but lacking a mask and a small military make-up.

His partner, unlike him, wears the regular rookie bandit jacket, that consists of a black leather anorak with kevlar patches sewn into it and blue tracksuit pants tucked into white running shoes and a beige hoodie worn underneath.

Biographies[]

At some point before the events of the series, both of them entreated the Zone, became Bandits, met each other and started to work as a team.

In 2012, the duo decided to plan a scheme to trick rookies to rob them, unfortunately for them, one of their victims was Mechenyj, who was heading through Garbage, when he received a SOS signal. After heading to help the "wounded stalker", the duo immediately attempted to rob and kill Mechenyj, which resulted in their own demise.

Powers & Skills[]

  • Disguise (Only the one in a stalker suit): The bandit who is initially calls for help is wearing a stalker outfit, which makes him one of the two only bandits, alongside the bandit in exoskeleton from Limansk, in the entire franchise who wore something but the regular bandit clothes.
  • Deception: Not only did they disguised one of them as a wounded stalker, but they also spread misleading SOS signals, using the stalkers' tendences to help each other.
