The Bandits are are major antagonists in Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru. They are trio of unnamed anthropomorphic pigs that operate a tank in the shape of a cake. They are also very destructive and were about to destroy an entire town until they were stopped by Hachimaru.
Personality[]
The trio shows that they were willing to cause wanton destruction and reveled in it. The leader of the group is tactical by how he would use the tank to get the attention of samurai away from the city so that the trio can attack the village. The trio were interested in taking treasure for themselves and did not mind destroying a town to get what they wanted. The two other bandits are shown to take orders and commands from the bandit and refers to him as big bro. The two bandits rely on the other bandit as their leader. The bandits are confident in their tank and think that their enemies cannot destroy it easily. When their tank was cut, the leader expressed shock that it was cut pretty easily.
Biography[]
The bandits appeared in an area away from town firing cannon from their tank. They are excited to get invade a town and start their path of destruction. The bandits discuss among each other their interest in getting a treasure in the town that they are about to invade. When they approached the town in their tank, one member asked the leader if it safe to invade the town as there are strong samurai nearby. The leader tells the subordinate that their use of tank was actually being used to get the attention of the samurai away from the town and to leave it defenseless. The bandits invade the town and begin to fire cannons into many buildings destroying parts of the town and causing people to flee in terror. As they attack the town, the leader wonders where the treasure, a rare samurai soul, could be. The leader says that if they cannot cooperate with them to find the treasure, then the people would die. Hachimaru and Hayatoru confronts the tank. When the bandits fire a cannon at them, Hachimaru and Nanashi cut the cannon in two, to the surprise of bandit leader. The leader then says that their tank is very durable and that he and the bandits will be safe inside it. However, Hachimaru cuts the cake tank in two to the surprise of the bandits and puts an end to their rampage in the town.
