The Bandits are minor antagonists in the The Last of Us franchise.

They are a group of men who are known to raid areas full of other survivors.

History

The Last of Us

Bandits thrived in post-apocalyptic United States areas like Jackson County, Wyoming. Bandits are known for raiding settlements and the Jackson Country power plant where Tommy inhabited. Bandits live around the plant and with a short ride from the ranch they can be found.

Bandits live in rural areas and they will leave their camps so they can launch raids. Bandits presumably survived with a state of lawlessness for longer times than hunters. While Joel and Ellie were in the dam, the bandits launched an attack. Joel, Tommy, and the other workers, ultimately killed the bandits. Unfortunately, the bandits managed to kill some of the workers.

Factions MP

The marauders appear as a splinter group of bandits. As bandits do, they raid Fireflies and unnamed survivor camps. Over the twelve weeks marauders will scout out and attack respective factions. This will threaten the stability of the faction if not dealt with effectively. If dealt with goodly this can convince how many survivors to join the clan, also ranging from minor additions to a big increase in membership.

Trivia

• In the trailer for The Last of Us for an early build, a bandit is shown to be hit by Joel with a modified pipe in the bridge area on Tommy's. The final version the last of us, there are no bandits.
• Bandits are the only enemies with no spoken dialogue in cutscenes and they only speak in gameplay.
