~ Bando Gora Captain to Komari Vosa. |
The Bando Gora Captain is a supporting antagonist in the 2002 video game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. He is an unnamed alien from the moon of Bogden and sub-leader of the Bando Gora led by Komari Vosa.
He was voiced by Nick Jameson.
Biography[]
The Bando Gora Captain was a resident of one of the moon's of Bogden, named Kohlma or Moon of the Dead, and an important figure of the cultist movement known as Bando Gora, which was responsible for drag dealing and corruption throughout the galaxy. He could be the leader of the syndicate before the fallen Jedi Komari Vosa was corrupted by them and became their new leader. He then acted as Vosa's right-hand man, and unlike the other Bando Gora members, he had high intelligence, control, and could speak casually.
In 32 BBY, shortly after the Battle of Naboo, Emperor Palpatine and his new apprentice Count Dooku began to plan the destruction of the Jedi Order and the Republic with Bando Gora being a threat to their plans. Count Dooku, who was the former master of Komari Vosa, hired two skilled and famous Mandalorian bounty hunters, Jango Fett and Montross, to destroy Bando Gora and capture their leader, dead or alive, for a high prize. This mission was also a test to find a suitable host for the creation of the Clone Army. After Jango Fett and Montross killed some associates of the Bando Gora on Coruscant such as Connus Trell and Groff Haugg, the Bando Gora Captain was informed through his spies and reported to Vosa, who didn't view them as threats yet. Some time later, after many dangerous missions on Oovo IV, Malastare, and Tatooine, which resulted in more deaths of Bando Gora associates such as Sebolto, Komari Vosa admitted that she underestimated both Jango Fett and Montross and ordered her captain to kill them and bring her their bodies. The Bando Gora Captain then started to prepare their defenses for the arrival of the Bounty Hunters, and he wasn't seen again after this. Montross was the first to arrive, followed by Jango, who defeated him and left him to be tortured to death by the Bando Gora members. Jango proceded to defeat Komari Vosa (despite being imprisoned by her) with the help of his new partner Zam Wesell. Count Dooku then arrived and finished off Vosa revealing his plans to Jango Fett.
Fate[]
The Bando Gora Captain's fate is unknown, but considering that he doesn't appear as a boss in the final missions of Jango Fett, and that Montross arrived first on the Moon of the Dead, it's heavily implied that Montross managed to kill him. That would also explain why the Bando Gora slaves went only after Montross following his defeat by Jango, as they wanted to avenge their Captain. It's also possible that he was the one who captured Jango Fett as some of the regular Band Gora goons in those levels look like him and that Zam Wesell killed him when she arrived on the Moon to save Jango.
