~ Bane
Bane is a major antagonist in the adult animated series Harley Quinn and the main tritagonist in its 2024 spin-off series, Kite-Man: Hell Yeah!. He is an insecure terrorist, a former member of the Legion of Doom and later a member of the Injustice League.
Bane is a violent, hot-tempered brute who will attack anyone or anything that offends him. He is also very petty, vengeful and oversensitive as he takes being embarrassed or humiliated seriously as he will blow up a fast-food restaurant over an employee getting his name wrong countless times and a bar for losing in a trivia game.
Despite his petty, violent nature, Bane is quite a pleasant and polite fellow and seems to be the only supervillain who treats Harley with respect.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
Season 2[]
New Gotham[]
Bane was away for the destruction of Gotham City, dog sitting for his "Aunt Linda's girlfriend". However, after Harley Quinn's efforts to incite goons to rebel against their masters, Bane was forced to find common cause with the Injustice League to defend themselves, regain their goons, and carve of the remains of Gotham for themselves. After struggling to figure out how to work the coffee machine, Bane lamented that they needed goons, to which everyone else immediately agreed. They came up with a plan to get Harley into their group so that they could regain their goons, at which point Bane wondered why she wasn't invited in the first place, resulting in derision from everyone else in the league.
At the Injustice League meeting, Bane continually complained about being sat on a folding chair rather than an executive chair like everyone else, which the rest of the league had done deliberately to make fun of him. Not quite getting it, Bane said that "your jest will be avenged". Afterward, Harley smashed through the table and rejected all of the Injustice League's proposals, so Mr. Freeze froze her in a block of ice and Bane suggested that they kill her.
The rest of the league agreed with him, but Mr. Freeze convinced them all to keep her alive as a trophy instead, so Bane mocked Harley incoherently and then left for his agreed-upon territory of new New Gotham.
Season 3[]
There's No Ivy in Team[]
As Poison Ivy wrapped up her presentation of her plan, Bane suddenly arrived at Gotham Mall, praising the plan and slow clapping, although only because he had strained his hand playing table-tennis. Bane then exclaimed he was there for revenge, pumping himself with Venom and explaining he wanted his wedding gift to Ivy and Kite Man — an expensive pasta-maker — back, as they never actually got married. Harle'ys crew all claimed they had no idea where it is while enjoying bowls of pasta. Bane stormed out, claiming he would not ask so nicely next time. Later, Bane was shopping at "More-4-Lex" for explosives and tried (and failed) to make small-talk with the cashier, when his card card was declined. The cashier then gave his explosives to Calendar Man who was next in line, angering Bane even more.
At Gotham City Bank, Bane tried to figure out what was wrong with his credit card, and the bank teller told him had they spotted "suspicious activity" on the card, including multiple purchases at Big Belly Burger early in the morning, 25 cases of hard seltzer and the wedding dress worn by the lead in the Sex and the City movie. Bane insisted there was nothing suspicious about these purchases, causing the teller to wonder if his spending history was a sign of depression. Flustered, Bane denied this, but silently started pondering the possibility.
After finally getting his explosives, Bane returned to the mall ready to extract his for revenge, only to see the mall collapse and be completely destroyed right before him without his help. Stunned, he remarked that he felt nothing and started to wonder if he needed a therapist.
After this episode Bane had a more neutral behavior in the rest of the series, being less ostile with Harley and Ivy, but still in his villain status as a member of Legion of Doom, and also in the episode "A Thief, a Mole, an Orgy" we get know that he is also a member of the Court of Owls, but the group, as the Joker mentions, stopped being a cult long time ago and now they only dedicated themselves to having orgies at meetings, that Bane asist constantle but he does not want other members to know his identity (despite the obviousness that does not hide his appearance).
Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special[]
On Valentine's Day, he was depressed because everyone had a partner to celebrate romantically, he tried to get Riddler to accompany him, but he already had plans with his partner.
esperate because he didn't get any dates, he decides instead to look for a one night sexual encounter, where he gets a date with a girl named Betty. However, Bane worries that his male member seems small to Betty, Bane arrives at the Etrican store to buy a potion that will make his member grow, however Bane did not read the warning that it would have side effects if used by a person. who used HGH, since consequently his entire body grew to the size of a Kaiju. This, together with Poison Ivy's pheromones that ended up being spread throughout the air because of Harley Quinn, this made Bane get out of his mind and made a rampage with his giant size. Destroying every bulding he see, even Ivy favorite restaurant.
After Clayface transforme in a giant version of Brett Goldstein made Bane back to his sanity, also he look very ashamed for what he did. After the incident, Betty arrives, impressed with having seen kaiju Bane hump buildings with such gusto. Bane (still kaiju-sized) is likewise impressed with the dominatrix's use of proper grammar, and the two head home together.

Trivia[]
This is the first incarnation of Bane to be an insecure comic relief rather than a serious threat. He has proven to be capable of being a serious physical threat at the very least.
Executive producer Justin Halpern has stated that unlike other characters in the show and despite his apparent deaths, Bane will never be killed off along with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.
A "running gag" in this series is his perceived enmity with chairs.
Bane's voice is an impression of Tom Hardy considering that Hardy also played Bane in The Dark Knight Rises.
