Bara Hacker is the computer and bird-themed Machine Beast of the Machine Empire Baranoia serving Acha and Kocha and a minor antagonist in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger, serving as the titular main antagonist of the 10th episode.
He is voiced by Itten Naito who previously voiced Heinous Boma and Armor Boma in Kousoku Sentai Turboranger, Dora Ninja in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, Heatwave Hood in Gosei Sentai Dairanger, the Dorodoros in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger Camera Trick also in Ohranger and later voiced Termite Nezire in Denji Sentai Megaranger and Corrupted Medicine Doc in Mirai Sentai Timeranger.
Biography[]
Past[]
As with all members of the Machine Empire Baranoia, Bara Hacker was built by Emperor Bacchus Wrath and Empress Hysteria some 65 million years ago on Planet Baranoia. The Machine Beasts and the Barlo Soldiers helped Bacchus Wrath to devastate and conquer multiple planets with Bara Hacker contributing by stealing data on the enemies' technology and rendering it useless. Although Bacchus Wrath never heard of him, Prince Buldont did and kept him in mind should his powers ever be needed again.
Ohranger[]
Millions of years later, in 1999, Bacchus Wrath and his Empire return to Earth and launch an invasion of Earth but the Ohrangers arise to oppose them.
After re-watching Ohranger Robo's victories over Bara Separate and Bara Missiler, Emperor Bacchus Wrath goes ballistic and has to be manually calmed by Acha before announcing that they must destroy the Giant Robo before progressing the invasion. At the suggestion of Prince Buldont, he sends Acha and Kocha to Earth with Bara Hacker to infiltrate the UAOH Headquarters and use a computer virus to leave the Chouriki Mobiles unable to combine. Attacking a data center, Bara Hacker installs a virus into the computer's systems which quickly spreads to all of the Ohrangers' weapons before confronting Juri and Goro whilst they are distracted by his virus from within a computer monitor. Despite being outnumbered, Bara Hacker proves to be too strong for them even when the other Ohrangers arrive and even the King Blasters prove useless as he just defeats them with an energy shield. Due to the Chouriki Mobile data being protected by twenty one secure passwords though, he retreats and meets up with Acha and Kocha inside the main computer center for Tokyo.
By hacking into the city's network, he is able to cause chaos by making ATMs spit out infinite money and traffic lights to cause accidents. Doing this buys him enough time to crack the passwords and find the last of the data he needs on the Chouriki Mobiles as well as the rest of the Ohrangers' arsenal. When he does though, he is ejected from the system and confronted by the Ohrangers who installed an impenetrable firewall although they are still no match for Bara Hacker as even the King Smashers cannot penetrate his forcefield. Overpowered, they are forced to flee even as Bara Hacker tries to cut them apart only to be blasted from the building and shot down when even the Big Bang Buster fails.
Before Bara Hacker can finish them off though, Chief Muira has them summon Sky Phoenix to deploy the Giant Roller for Goro to use. As it barrels towards him, Bara Hacker attempts to hack it as well but the new weapon had yet to have its data uploaded so Bara Hacker is immediately defeated. Acha and Kocha then enlarge Bara Hacker so they form Ohranger Robo only to be tied up by his wires and fired although they then break free. After ramming him with the Horn Head's Taurus Dive and shooting him with the Taurus Thunder, they slam him into the ground with the Graviton Head's Graviton Beam. With Bara Hacker stunned, they then smash his screen which leaves the Machine Beast helpless as they kill him with the Crown Final Crash.
Personality[]
Bara Hacker was a child-like Machine Beast who spoke little aside from laughs and spoke childishly when he did speak. However, he was shown to take pleasure in hurting and harassing them although he was very loyal to Acha, Kocha and Bacchus Wrath.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Power: Bara Hacker was one of the most powerful Machine Beasts, being able to decimate the Ohrangers singlehandidly and counter almost all of their weapons with no effort. Even the King Smashers and Big Bang Buster were useless against him, only being defeated because Chief Muira had not uploaded its data yet.
- Strength: Bara Hacker could strike the Ohrangers with the flat side of his arm blades with enough force to knock away Goro and Juji and send both Yuji and Momo flying with one slash. When giant, he could grab onto and easily restrain Ohranger Robo.
- Durability: Bara Hacker was unhurt by a building exploding around him. As a giant, his own electricity being redirected back into him, multiple punches from Ohranger Robo, the Horn Head's Horn Thunder and being slammed into the ground by the Graviton Head failed to hurt him at all.
- Face Armour: Bara Hacker could also equip metal armour over his screen face which was strong enough to withstand a kick from Juri and a strike from Goro's Battle Stick.
- Skilled Fighter: Bara Hacker was a very skilled fighter, being able to decimate Goro and Juri as well as being a match for all five Ohrangers at once.
- Wire Entanglement: Bara Hacker could launch cables from around his body to restrain his enemies so they could not fight.
- Hacking: Bara Hacker could put his wires inside machines and easily hack into complex computer systems as well as scramble systems so that the Chouriki Mobiles could no longer combine.
- Machine Control: Bara Hacker could take control of any machines remotely such as ATMs to make them disperse infinite money and traffic lights to cause crashes.
- Electrocution: Bara Hacker could electrocute his enemies with blue electricity using his wires.
- Hacking: Bara Hacker could put his wires inside machines and easily hack into complex computer systems as well as scramble systems so that the Chouriki Mobiles could no longer combine.
- Eye Blasts: Bara Hacker could fire blue lasers from his eyes.
- Digital Transport: Bara Hacker could travel through computer monitors by transforming into blue energy and transporting in and out of them.
- Antenna Lightning: Bara Hacker could spray green lightning from his antenna which were powerful enough to send Goro and Juri flying.
- Lightning Spray: Bara Hacker could fire less focused green lightning from his antenna but they would cover a limited area.
- Weapons Scanning: Using the information he gathered from the Ohrangers' computer systems, Bara Hacker could download the schematics of weapons and discover flaws in thier designs.
- Shield Generation: Bara Hacker could generate an orange energy shield that would render any weapons he scanned completely useless.
- Energy Blasts: Bara Hacker could fire blue energy from his right hand that was strong enough to knock down Goro and Juri.
- Computer Bombs: Bara Hacker's most powerful attack where he could enter his options menu, select the bomb icon and launch it from his screen at his enemies. This was strong enough to completely eject the Ohrangers from their Headquarters.
Weaknesses[]
- Un-scanned Items: If Bara Hacker had not scanned a weapon before it was used against him, like the Giant Roller which had yet to be uploaded into the computer system, he could not stop it from defeating him.
- Destroyed Screen: When Bara Hacker's screen was smashed, he was powerless and unable to stop his destruction.
Arsenal[]
- Arm Blades: Bara Hacker had enormous silver blades strapped to his wrists which he could use to cut down his enemies or smack them with the flat sides of the blades.
- Lightning Blasts: Bara Hacker could spray green lightning from his arm blades from either the tip or the flat sides of the blades. These were powerful enough to cause large explosions and take down all five Ohrangers.
- Lightning Rain: Bara Hacker could also fire his green lightning into the air to make lightning rain down on his enemies which was strong enough to throw down all five Ohrangers.
- Finisher Destruction: Bara Hacker could cross his arm blades and use a scissor motion to destroy finishing attacks as seen with the Big Bang Buster.
- Lightning Blasts: Bara Hacker could spray green lightning from his arm blades from either the tip or the flat sides of the blades. These were powerful enough to cause large explosions and take down all five Ohrangers.
- Chainsaw: Bara Hacker could enter his options menu, select the chainsaw icon and project one from his face to try and cut apart his enemies. This was sharp enough to cut through steel pipes.
