~ The Baranoia leadership's plan for Bara Missiler. |
Bara Missiler was the tank and missile-themed Machine Beast of the Machine Empire Baranoia serving Emperor Bacchus Wrath and a supporting antagonist in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger. He was the main antagonist of the 8th episode and a major antagonist in the 33rd.
He was voiced by Rintaro Torii who also voiced Gun Gibson in Tokusou Robo Janperson and Dora Gansaku in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger.
Personality[]
Bara Missiler was a brutal fighter who was extremely loyal to Bacchus Wrath and willing to do anything to kill his enemies including sending the Ohrangers into the Sun. Despite this, he was a monster of few words; only speaking three times and mostly speaking in grunts and yells.
Biography[]
Past[]
As with all members of the Machine Empire Baranoia, Bara Missiler was built by Emperor Bacchus Wrath and Empress Hysteria some 65 million years ago on Planet Baranoia. Along with the rest of the Machine Beasts and the Barlo Soldiers, Bara Missiler helped them to devastate and conquer multiple planets. Due to being considered an elite Machine Beast, Bara Missiler was kept on the planet Daraura alongside Bara Darts, Bara Printer and Bara Baby.
Ohranger[]
Millions of years later, in 1995, Bacchus Wrath and his Empire return to Earth and launch an invasion of Earth but the Ohrangers arise to oppose them.
After a failed invasion by Takonpas and a Baracticas, Bacchus Wrath realises that the Baranoia cannot conquer Earth whilst the Ohrangers have Ohranger Robo. Taking inspiration from Bara Brain's use of Bara Separate, he has the Barlo Soldiers upgrade Acha and Kocha with a growth program and selects Bara Missiler as thier test subject. Bara Missiler attacks Yuri and Momo as they drive through Tokyo and begins destroying the city until the Ohrangers confront him and Bacchus Wrath in the quarry. Bara Missiler shrugs off the King Blasters until he is knocked down by Goro's Star Riser finisher only to then be enlarged by Acha and Kocha. Bara Missiler tries to crush them underfoot but they dodge and summon the Chouriki Mobiles but even Ohranger Robo is no match for Bara Missiler with a salvo of missiles completely disabling it. With the Giant Robo disabled, Bara Missiler wraps it in chains and drags it into space before throwing it into the Sun and returning to Earth. However, Ohranger Robo quickly returns; having used its new Horn and Vulcan Heads to escape the star's gravitational pull. Bara Missiler tries to fight it but is overpowered, shot by the Cannon Head, levitated and dropped by the Graviton Head's Lion Beam and then killed by the Crown Final Crash.
Bara Missiler and Bara Separate are both later recalled by Bacchus Wrath as being defeated by Ohranger Robo which enraged him to the extent of beheading Acha and leads to the attack by Bara Hacker.
Much later on, after the death of Bara Gūsuka, Emperor Bacchus Wrath executes his ultimate plan; recreating an army of past Machine Beasts (including Bara Missiler) as giants and upgrading them with the Magma Enhancement Program to allow them to kill the Ohrangers. However, the Ohrangers ultimately penetrate the cave system where the upgrades are taking place and destroy most of the monsters by collapsing the cave on top of them. Despite this, Bara Missiler and three other upgraded Machine Beasts are able to escape before the collapse.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: Bara Missiler easily knocked back Ohranger Robo with a double punch and knocked it away with a kick to the chest. Merely pulling his chains (that were strong enough to trap Ohranger Robo) instantly snapped them.
- Headbutt: Bara Missiler could head-butt with enough force to send Ohranger Robo stumbling back.
- Durability: Bara Missiler was completely unfazed by being shot by the King Blasters and the Cannon Head. Even the Star Riser finisher just took him to his knees for a moment.
- Heat Resistance: Bara Missiler was immune to the extreme heat caused by both passing through the Earth's atmosphere and by being in close proximity to the Sun.
- Speech: Bara Missiler was able to speak without a mouth.
- Non-Ageing: Due to being a robot, Bara Missiler was unable to age.
- Missile Blasts: Bara Missiler could fire white missiles from the launchers on his wrists. These were strong enough to destroy a building, cause massive explosions throughout Tokyo, make rocks rain down from a mountain and take down and disable Ohranger Robo with one hit.
- Chain Blasts: Bara Missiler could fire silver chains from the hole on his stomach to entrap his enemies.
- Flight: Bara Missiler could fly using the jet boosters on his shoulders. These were powerful enough to allow him to drag Ohranger Robo into space and completely resist the gravitational pull of the Sun.
Arsenal[]
- Fists: Bara Missiler mainly used his bare hands in combat.
- Missile Launchers: On either wrist, Bara Missiler had missile launchers that he could use to fire his missiles or as makeshift knuckledusters that he could use to punch into his enemies.
