Bara Pinokiller is the Pinocchio-themed Machine Beast of the Machine Empire Baranoia serving Acha and Kocha and a minor antagonist in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger; being the titular main antagonist of the 14th episode.
He is voiced by Tetsuya Iwanaga.
Biography[]
After the failure of their elite Machine Beasts and Bara Magma, Emperor Bacchus Wrath decides to take a subtler approach and sends Acha and Kocha to build an army of Pinocchio-like machines. Bara Pinokiller and Pet Pinnochio are the first of these to be built as a prototype; the former disguised as a friendly robot manufactured by the front organisation 21st Century Cyber Industries. His mission is sent to make humans more accepting towards the idea of machines so they make accept Baranoia rule until they have complete control over many major government offices. He is first seen at Tsutomu's ramen restaurant as the head chef when Shouhei takes Yuji to eat there. As the other Ohrangers soon discover though, he is part of a robotic class capable of everything from babysitting to tutoring and helping the elderly. When the Ohrangers examine the 21st Century Cyber Industry plant and realise how intelligent the Pinocchio's are, Bara Pinokiller dons a disguise and attacks Goro and Yuri when they are alone only to flee as the others arrive by ditching his outfit and returning to being Ramen-Making Pinocchio. Although they are shooed off when they confront Bara Pinokiller's owners about his presence, Acha's plan to destroy the UAOH Headquarters with a bomb in Pet Pinocchio fails and they are forced to kidnap Tsutomu when he finds him and Acha.
Angry over his failure, Bara Pinokiller plans to kill Tsutomu, his parents and his supposed creator with bomb but the Ohrangers deduce where he could have gone and confront him in the factory so Bara Pinokiller reveals his true form. Whilst Shouhei rescues the hostages, the other Ohrangers morph and take down Bara Pinokiller with their King Blasters before defeating the Barlo Soldiers. Although Acha then tries to kill them with a bomb, which is strong enough to destroy the entire factory, they escape and confront the Machine Beast outside. They are initially outmatched with even the King Smashers proving ineffective but they then summon the Giant Roller with which Goro is finally able to stop him. However, Acha and Kocha then make him grow so the Ohrangers summon Ohranger Robo which is no match for Bara Pinokiller until they use the Vulcan Head to destroy his saw-blades and take him down with the Horn Head. Despite him then unleashing a very powerful laser, they equip the Super Crown Sword and cleave off his nose before killing him with the Crown Final Crash.
Personality[]
As Ramen-Making Pinocchio, Bara Pinokiller appeared to be a very friendly, energetic, passionate and amiable creature who only wanted to help others. In reality however, he was a violent sadist who was only loyal to his masters and would use any means necessary to complete his mission.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: Bara Pinokiller took down Yuri with one smack from his mace hand, all of the Ohrangers with strikes from either hand, and wipe out both Yuji and Shouhei with a single sweep. When giant, he was able to knock back Ohranger Robo with one mace strike to the chest.
- Headbutt: Bara Pinokiller could head-butt with enough force to knock back Goro.
- Durability: Bara Pinokiller proved immune to multiple hits from Goro, the Battle Sticks hitting the protrusion on his head and all five King Smashers being fired at him at once. When giant, he shrugged off multiple punches and a kick from Ohranger Robo as well as the Taurus Head ramming him without getting a scratch.
- Expert Fighter: Bara Pinokiller was able to outfight Goro and Yuri in battle.
- Reflexes: Bara Pinokiller was fast enough to spin and avoid a kick from Momo as well as knock down a running kick from Goro.
- Form Changing: Bara Pinokiller could switch between his true form and a cutesy and more approachable version at will.
- Ramen Making: Bara Pinokiller was shown to be great at making this traditional Japanese dish, being described as incredible.
- Machine Gun Blasts: Bara Pinokiller could spray bullets from the barrels on his left hand. These were able to cause large explosions and instantly take down all five Ohrangers.
- Enhanced Hearing: Bara Pinokiller was able to hear the Ohrangers despite them being outside and his "owners" loudly complaining about them.
- Nose Blast: Bara Pinokiller could fire a powerful blue energy blast from his nose.
Arsenal[]
- Mace Hand: In place of his right hand, Bara Pinokiller had a massive silver mace which he could use to bash his enemies.
- Ring Blasts: Bara Pinokiller could fire large blue rings out of his mace hand's spikes that were strong enough to take down all five Ohrangers with one hit.
- Cloak and Mask: Bara Pinokiller used a black cloak and mask to disguise himself when he tried to kill Juri and Yuji.
- Bombs: Bara Pinokiller tried to kill Tsutomu, his parents and his supposed creator with bombs but they were rescued.
- Saw-blades: Bara Pinokiller could fire razor sharp saw-blades from his shoulders to slam into the enemy with devastating force.
