Bara Revenger is the Chimera and Scrap-themed Machine Beast of the Machine Empire Baranoia and the unwilling main antagonist of the 15th episode of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger.
He is voiced by famous Japanese voice actor Akio Ōtsuka who later voiced Canary Nezilar in Denji Sentai Megaranger, Zakkasu in Seijuu Sentai Gingaman, Thanatos in Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGo-V, Hades Wise God Dagon in Mahou Sentai Magiranger and Ganima Noshiagalda in Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger VS Lupinranger VS Patranger. However, he is most well known as Solidus Snake and Venom Snake in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Marshall D. Teach in One Piece, All For One in My Hero Academia, Thorkell in Vinland Saga, Wamuu in Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventures, Anavel Gato in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory and Xehanort and Ansem in the Kingdom Hearts' franchise.

Past[]
As with all members of the Machine Empire Baranoia, the various Machine Beasts that would become Bara Revenger was built by Emperor Bacchus Wrath and Empress Hysteria some 65 million years ago on Planet Baranoia. Along with the Barlo Soldiers, the Machine Beasts helped them to devastate and conquer multiple planets. Unlike most Baranoians though, these machines displayed genuine human emotions and redemption which would eventually cause Bacchus Wrath to turn on and scrap them millions of years later as he considered it a critical flaw.
Ohranger[]
Millions of years later, in 1999, Bacchus Wrath and his Empire return to Earth and launch an invasion of Earth but the Ohrangers arise to oppose them.
Eventually, Emperor Bacchus Wrath begins to scrap machines that show emotion but the machine pieces remain alive. Enraged by their emperor's betrayal, a number of these scrapped parts end up fusing together to form a new Machine Beast called Bara Revenger. Desiring revenge against the treacherous Bacchus Wrath, Bara Revenger attacks him in the Baranoia Palace's throne room but the Emperor is still more powerful than any of his Machine Beasts so Bara Revenger is easily defeated and thrown to Earth. Landing near the Central Energy Center, Bara Revenger begins draining power to give him an edge but is confronted by the Ohrangers who refuse to believe he is good. Instead of fighting, he escapes but not before saving a dog Yuji befriended named Shirou from being hit by a car and revealing his true intentions. When he attacks the Eastern Energy Center though, he is easily gunned down by the guards and nearly killed until Yuji saves him by giving him some Superpower.
After forming an alliance against Baranoia in the quarry though, they are ambushed by Bacchus Wrath alongside Acha and the Barlo Soldiers who overwhelm the two allies. Although the other Ohrangers arrive, Bacchus Wrath soon knocks them away which allows Acha to implant a device on Bara Revenger that forces him to fight the Ohrangers. The Machine Beast easily defeats four of them but Yuji turns the tide with his Crashing Rolling Bomber and Lightning: Chouriki Tonfa attacks. When Bara Revenger recovers, Goro summons the Giant Roller to end the fight but Yuji convinces his captain to let him pilot it to put his friend out of his suffering. The Giant Roller breaks Bara Revenger from Acha's control but leaves him mortally wounded so he informs the Ohrangers that he will never rest until Bacchus Wrath dies. With that said, Bara Revenger stumbles to a scrapyard where he dies with Shiro before by his side; falling apart and returning to scrap once again but this time, never to return.
Legacy[]
In the end, although the Ohrangers destroyed Bacchus Wrath with OhBlocker, the Emperor only died after he gave his power to Prince Buldont after the Prince was killed by Bomber the Great. Despite the purging of emotional Machine Beasts, Bacchus Wrath would ultimately fail to exterminate emotions. Instead, by the time of his eventual death, Bacchus Wrath and his family had also began showing more positive emotions which ultimately led to the redemption of Empress Hysteria at the end of thier war with Earth.
Yuji later remembered befriending Bara Revenger after the Ohrangers disbanded once the Machine Empire Baranoia was no more.
Gaoranger vs Super Sentai[]
Daimon of GoGoV recalls Yuji defeating Bara Revenger to Kai Sorezu of the Gaorangers during a speech about the past fights that other Sentai have had after Lost Highness Duke Rakushaasa makes him lose hope. Daimon uses Yuji's Crashing Rolling Bomber and Lightning: Chouriki Tonfa attacks as examples of how past Sentai Rangers used different special techniques to defeat their enemies.

Born from the hatred of every Machine Beast and Barlo Soldier that Emperor Bacchus Wrath scrapped, Bara Revenger was solely motivated by hatred, anger and a desire for revenge. He would do anything to achieve that goal, including working with the Ohrangers, but learnt friendship with Yuji's help. However, he was also gentle and cared for the vulnerable such as the dog Shirou who he saved from being hit by a car; the act that ultimately showed Yuji he was different.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: Bara Revenger could throw down two Barlo Soldiers hard enough to instantly destroy them, knock away Acha and the Barlo Soldiers by spinning, lock blades with Bacchus Wrath for a short time and defeat a large group of Barlo Soldiers with Yuji's help.
- Durability: Bara Revenger survived being struck down by Bacchus Wrath, thrown to Earth, shot hundreds of times by armed guards, shot by a Barlo Soldier's eye blasts, struck by lightning, bombarded by rocks and blasted by Bacchus Wrath's lightning rain without getting a scratch. Even Yuji's Crashing Rolling Bomber and Lightning: Chouriki Tonfa attacks failed to kill him.
- Expert Fighter: Bara Revenger easily overwhelmed a large group of Barlo Soldiers as well as the Ohrangers.
- Cable Launch: Bara Revenger could extend cables from his body that could drain power from any power source they touched.
- Power Draining: Bara Revenger could absorb the power from any body his cables touched to make himself more powerful.
- Super Jumps: Bara Revenger could jump incredible distances with single leaps, being able to jump several hundred feet to rescue a dog from being hit by a car.
- Agility: Bara Revenger could land, roll and roll out of the way of a car in a single movement.
- Teleportation: Bara Revenger could teleport to any location at will by vanishing into thin air.
Weaknesses[]
- Weak Armour: Due to being constructed out of materials from a scrapyard, Bara Revenger's durability was very limited to such an extent that even normal human bullets managed to almost kill him.
- Mind Control Device: Bara Revenger was helpless against the Machine Empire Baranoia's mind control device that Acha put on him which caused him to fight the Ohrangers to the death.
Arsenal[]
- Drill Arm: Bara Revenger's only weapons was the razor sharp spear-like drill attachment he had for a left arm.
- Energy Blasts: Bara Revenger could fire a powerful invisible energy blast from his drill arm that was powerful enough to cause a large explosion and knock down all five Ohrangers.
- Fist: Bara Revenger had a normal right arm but he used it to easily overwhelm the Barlo Soldiers in battle.
