Bara Vacuum is the Vacuum Cleaner-themed Machine Beast of the Machine Empire Baranoia serving Prince Buldont and a minor antagonist in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger. He served as the main antagonist of the 17th episode and a supporting antagonist in the 33rd episode.
He is voiced by the late Toku Nishio who previously voiced Gold Mask, Boat Ear Mask, Black Hair Mask, Wire Mask and Pirate Mask in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, Crab Monger, Mechanic Monger, Boxer Monger and Fighter Monger in Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan, most of the Synthetic Beasts in Dai Sentai Google V, Crab Evo, [[Bat Evo, Sponge Evo, Butterfly Evo, Octopus Evo, Gecko Evo, Dinosaur Evo, Crocodile Evo, Electric Eel, Armor Rose, Drill Horse, Rocket Tiger and Jet Flying Squirrel all also in Dynaman, Gomu, Rogan, Kiga and Dolon in Dengeki Sentai Changeman, Dango Bōma, Oni Boma and Shinigami Boma in Kousoku Sentai Turboranger, Todorugin, Kaijurugin and Sazaemajirogin in Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman, Voice Dimension, Ant Bazooka, Laser Lizard and Meteor BEM in Choujin Sentai Jetman, Dora Titan, Dora Circe, Dora Boogaranan and Dora Gunrock in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger and Master Mirror in Gosei Sentai Dairanger.

Past[]
As with all members of the Machine Empire Baranoia, Bara Vacuum was built by Emperor Bacchus Wrath and Empress Hysteria some 65 million years ago on Planet Baranoia. Along with the rest of the Machine Beasts and the Barlo Soldiers, Bara Vacuum helped them to devastate and conquer multiple planets.
Ohranger[]
Millions of years later, in 1999, Bacchus Wrath and his Empire return to Earth and launch an invasion of Earth but the Ohrangers arise to oppose them.
When Seiichi Kuroda starts to work with the Baranoia and steals Yuji’s Power Brace, he doesn’t hand over the Power Brace as he knows the Baranoia would betray him so Buldont sends Bara Vacuum to kidnap the powerless Yuji until they can betray Seiichi. He is first seen ambushing Yuri and Yuji with a group of Barlo Soldiers which are soon defeated but he is able to overwhelm Yuri and kidnap Yuji. Bara Vacuum then accompanies Buldont, Acha and Kocha and an army of Barlo Soldiers to the Rindo Lake Family Farm when the Ohrangers intercept Kuroda and his son. The Barlo Soldiers ultimately fight with the Ohrangers as Bara Vacuum goes after Kuroda and fights Goro only to shoot both and reveal Shigeru to be a cyborg. Although this reveals the Power Brace, Shouhei is able to take it instead which results in a game of hot potato between the Ohrangers and Barlo Soldiers over Yuji's Power Brace until Goro retrieves it only to be shot and absorbed by Bara Vacuum. However, this allows him to give Yuji his Power Brace who morphs before they jam Bara Vacuum's gears and force him to eject them by shooting the gears with Goro's King Blaster.
Although weakened, Bara Vacuum is still able to fight off the Ohrangers until Yuji weakens him with his combined Crashing Rolling Bomber and Lightning Tonfa attacks before the Ohrangers finish Bara Vacuum off with the Giant Roller. However, Acha and Kocha then make him grow so they form Ohranger Robo which is initially no match for Bara Vacuum until they drop him to the ground with the Graviton Head's Leon Graviton Beam. They then equip the Super Crown Sword with which they are able to gain the upper-hand and destroy Bara Vacuum's suction mechanism before finally killing him with the Crown Final Crash.
Later on, after the death of Bara Faucet, Emperor Bacchus Wrath executes his ultimate plan; recreating an army of past Machine Beasts (including Bara Vacuum) as giants and upgrading them with the Magma Enhancement Program. However, the Ohrangers ultimately penetrate the cave system where the upgrades are taking place and destroy most of the monsters by collapsing the cave on top of them with Bara Vacuum being among them.
Personality[]
Bara Vacuum was shown to be a violent and relentless creature whose sole interest was fulfilling his masters' orders. However, he never spoke since he communicated only in raspy yells and grunts.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: Bara Vacuum knocked down Yuri with a punch to the gut and blow to the head.
- Body Slam: Bara Vacuum could also shove his body forwards with enough force to knock back Ohranger Robo.
- Durability: Bara Vacuum shrugged off multiple slashes from Goro's Star Riser as well as a strike to the stomach from Yuji's Tonfas. Even multiple punches from Ohranger Robo and several slashes from the Super Crown Sword failed to faze him.
- Depth Perception: Bara Vacuum possessed depth perception despite only having one eye.
- Skilled Fighter: Bara Vacuum was able to easily overwhelm all five Ohrangers in battle.
- Stretchable Neck: Bara Vacuum could stretch his neck to great length to suck up his enemies.
- Smoke Blasts: Bara Vacuum could exhale powerful gusts of white smoke from his mouth that were strong enough to send Yuri flying.
- Vacuum Capture Breath: True to his name, Bara Vacuum could spew a clear orange laser ray from his mouth that, when it hit the enemy, would absorb them into his body.
- Storage Chamber: Bara Vacuum had a massive cog and smoke filled void within himself to contain his enemies.
- Super Speed: Bara Vacuum could run faster than Goro's go-kart could drive.
Weaknesses[]
- Clogged Mouth: Bara Vacuum was unable to vacuum anything if his mouth was obstructed by an object like a rock or the Super Crown Sword.
- Destroyed Gears: If Bara Vacuum's internal systems were damaged or destroyed, like when Goro shot them with his King Blaster, anyone trapped inside of him would be ejected.
Arsenal[]
- Arm Cannon: Bara Vacuum had a large cannon for a right arm that could either be used as a gun or as a club to bash his enemies.
- Smoke Blasts: Bara Vacuum could fire white smoke blasts from his arm cannon strong enough to cause large explosions and throw down Yuri and Yuji with one hit.
- Machine Gun Blasts: Bara Vacuum could also rapid fire his arm cannon with enough force to force apart Yuji and Yuri. These were also later able to make Goro crash his go-kart.
- Smoke Blasts: Bara Vacuum could fire white smoke blasts from his arm cannon strong enough to cause large explosions and throw down Yuri and Yuji with one hit.
- Fist: Bara Vacuum had a normal left hand which he could use to choke and pummel his enemies.
