Baraka is a supporting character in Mortal Kombat 1, serving as a minor antagonist and a more malicious counterpart to the main version of Baraka.
Like his counterpart in Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 1, he is voiced by Steve Blum.
Baraka features as an antagonist, one from Titan Shang Tsung's New Era, who joins his master in attacking Liu Kang's Hourglass. He fought the Fire God and the Titan Kitana together with Reptile, but they were defeated by the two. During the subsequent Battle of Armageddon, several versions of Baraka were aligned with the Order of Darkness.
Khaos Reigns[]
Another alternate Baraka from Titan Havik's timeline features in the DLC Khaos Reigns. As a member of the Brotherhood of Chaos, Baraka, Ermac and Reptile were seen hunting after the resistance leader Lt Colonel Johnathan Cage. After Cage's capture, Baraka vowed that Havik would break his spirit after finishing with "the cryomancer". Frustrated at Cage's continued defiance, Baraka and the others began laying into him. After he was beaten to the ground, Baraka prepared to kill him with his blades, but was kicked away by Sektor. Enraged, Baraka and Reptile fought Sektor and Cage, but was defeated by them.
Personality[]
Like his mainstream counterparts, this version of Baraka is a vicious, ruthless, and destructive warrior—but unlike them, he possesses no trace of honor or compassion. He kills without hesitation and displays an even stronger taste for cannibalism than ever before. A truly sadistic barbarian and tyrannical leader of Tarkata, he cares only for himself and no one else.

Trivia[]
Neither the "Order of Darkness" of "Khaos" versions of Baraka have any redeeming qualities, making them more evil than the the classic versions of Baraka.
