Barbatos Rex, or simply Barbatos, is a major character of Monster Legends, serving as a minor character of Corrupted Era Saga, a major character of Doomsday Era Saga, and a minor antagonist of Abyssal Era Saga.
Biography[]
Barbatos Rex is the king of hell that took power after diabolus was initially dealt with.
He has ruled Hell for a long time using his intelligence and manipulation , but during Lord Nebotus's rise he is overthrown . Lord inheritor and Kaih the Sunmelter are put in his place, but when inheritor takes full control of the underworld by breaking the peak of conciliation treaty and kicking the angels out of heaven.
Warmaster Elvira meets with Warmaster Barbael. Barbael is accompanied by his brother, Barbatos, who offers Elvira the chance to transform to help the war efforts.
She declines, explaining how Arch Duke was unable to enter Heaven with it occupied by demons due to being an angel. They settle on Barbatos being the one to use the Ambrosia. He transforms into Barbatos Rex.
En route to Paradise, Barbatos Rex calls Darmith Khan a traitor for serving the interests of the new lord of Hell, and beats him.
At the gates, Barbatos Rex makes a proposal: the two Warmasters temporarily pledge their allegiance to him, making them honorary demons and allowing them to join the assault on occupied Paradise. They agree.
Inside Paradise, they meet Izabeth, who is holding the throne for Lord Inheritor. Barbatos Rex tries to bribe her with promises of a high position and tells her that inheritor is only using her, but she takes her chances with the current leader, and fights them.
The last of the servants of the Underworld are ejected from Paradise. Elvira and Barbael wait to be released from service, but Barbatos Rex tells them he has another plan for them. This plan being to help him take back his throne as he wants it back and justifies this by saying that inheritor would continue to wage war anyways, to do this he actually gives the flask of Hell's blaze to Warmaster Elvira transforming her into Elvira Demonslayer.
Barbatos watched as Elvira gathered angels then carried out the sentence Uriel the Divine pronounced Lord Inheritor with. After that was done they seal a new treaty and go back their separate ways.

He has red skin and huge horns he also has a trident with a teeth on it, a tail and gold and black armor effectively just an expansion on how the devil is generally viewed within popular culture.

He is a very powerful monster that mainly keeps it through manipulation and connections as opposed to raw force
