Baro is a minor antagonist in the Black Clover manga and anime series. He is Neige's older brother and a Rogue mage affiliated to the Eye of the Midnight Sun.
He was voiced by Genki Muro in Japanese (who also voiced Magna Swing and Megicula) and by Chris Rager in English.
Personality[]
Baro is a selfish and sadistic mage who has no issues admitting his disturbing obsession of torturing children and stealing their mana, but he proved to be someone who cares about his own happiness and in order to obtain it, he is capable of doing any action even if it is wrong. On top of that, it seems that he enjoys seeing other people suffer, if that meets his happiness.

Past[]
Nothing is known about Baro's past expect that he spent his whole life making some mud dolls to cheer up her brother Neige.
Eye of the Midnight Sun Arc[]
Years later, Baro is seen his old laboratory located near the city of Nairn watching the children scream while she is having her mana removed respectively. When it's Marie's turn, Gauche shows up and causes a ruckus when he sees that his sister has been beaten. Because of that, Baro orders Neige to attack him with his magic. Minutes later, Asta arrives and Baro starts laughing seeing that Asta has absolutely no mana and because of that, he allows him to be his opponent but in the blink of an eye, Asta is in front of him and hits him with his sword. Baro stays on the ground and watches as Asta confronts him and attacks with a sword swing, he asks if he even knows how hard it is to live without magic but Baro shows no remorse, Asta later threatens Baro by punching his head but is stopped by Theresa Rapual. In the midst of the distraction, Baro takes advantage and pulls out a rare item while he waits for someone to arrive.
Once Sally does arrive, Baro yells at her for taking so long since they have Spatial Magic, and he blames the Knights when Sally complains about the lack of collected mana. Sally fights them until Theresa joins, making it three versus one. Baro offers to help if Sally can heal him and give him money; however, he is actually planning to escape and abandon her as Sally later injects Baro and accidentally turns him into a giant mud monster. Although his mobility returns and his mana is increased, Sally regards him as a failure as Asta and Theresa run away to protect the children tortured by Baro.
When Gauche returns, he saves Asta and finds that his own magic is ineffective against the monster. While Gauche is distracted, Baro swats the Knight out of the air. After Asta saves Gauche, his sword glows thanks magic, and Asta is able to release a flying Anti Magic slash on Baro who quickly regenerates the slices. However Gauche quickly reverts him intro his true form by strucking her intro Mirror Slashes. After his monster body was destroyed, Baro cames near Asta and attempts to ambush him, but he is stopped by Neige who freezes her and successfully frees all the children.
It is unknown about Baro's fate afterwards, but it's possibly that he will be stuck in the ice forever. While in the anime he is dead, and his coat is all that is left of him.

Thanks to the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Baro's glasses are able to visualizes a person's mana that is accompanied with a communication device, but his signature skill is a special magic that attribute to generate and manipulate mud in which it can be shaped in various forms.
