You've only damaged my base slightly! Prepare yourself, Robbit! Now my minions are really ready for you! I, Baron Aloha, am Invincible!
~ Baron's defeated quote.

Baron Aloha is the main antagonist of the Jumping Flash franchise. He's an aristocratic mad-scientist who's goal is to turn peaceful planets into his own private getaway.

He is voiced by Brian Bowles in the English dub who also voiced the Master of Darkness's real-life counterpart from Heart of Darkness.

Biography[]

Jumping Flash[]

In the first Jumping Flash game, Baron has already taken away the pieces of planets with his giant robots and brought them to space. Throughout the game, the main antagonist Robbit must go around saving the MuuMuus. At the very last stage, Baron's head appears instead of any buildings. In the stage, Robbit must fight a giant robot with a brown body and Baron's face on it. He fights it until it breaks down to his head, which spins at him. After his defeat, he flies away in his contraption screaming that he has only been nearly scratched and he will be prepared next time.

Jumping Flash 2[]

The game begins with him inside of a phone booth that sits onto on a brown astroid. He is asking the Universal City Hall for a small favor. After this the narrator explains he returned to his secret hide-away planet, "Little Muu", where he began plotting his revenge. Suddenly; the intergalactic villain known as Captain Kabuki appeared and began taking apart the planet, stuffing its parts into bottles and adding them to his collection of "bottled wonderlands". This is when Baron escaped to ask the astroid to beg the city hall for help.

After Robbit arrived and began taking care of the situation, Baron became frustrated as it meant his arch nemesis was winning, despite it being to his benefit. While his minion would celebrate, Baron would continue to root against Robbit. Also during this time, his minion was struggling to Hotwire his machine (which had apparently broken down). Eventually he got it to work, and headed back towards the planet. After Captain Kabuki was defeated, Baron's minions cheered for Robbit while Baron struggled to formulate any sort of Thank-You, even mumbling a death threat shortly after. He tried to stop his minions form cheering for the Robbit as the camera slowly panned into the air. The very final scene showed Baron in his contraption, now having a leash around Kabuki. He told Kabuki that they were teaming up and that he didn't want to hear any complaining.

Appearance[]

Baron Aloha appears to have grey hair, caucasian skin, Hawaiian shirts, a monocle, sandals, shorts, and a brown cane.

Personality[]

Baron Aloha, black shadow threatening the safety of peaceful worlds. An evil scientist who frightens children and is bend on slavery.
~ The narrator describing Baron.

Baron is a highly intelligent egotistical scientist who's motives are revolve around doing whatever he can to get what he wants. Like the Bogeyman, he's a being that frightens children. Baron completely relies on others and his machines to do his work for him. Baron's main characteristic seems to me his desire for a personal getaway, implying he is in the retirement stage of his life. Even after his defeat, he claimed to only have been scratched, demonstrating that he doesn't accept defeat.

Just 'cause he's the hero doesn't mean you gotta root for him!
~ Baron to his minion.

Baron's hatred for Robbit trumps all of his others. Baron goes so far as to root for Robbit's downfall even if it meant his world's demise. Even after being saved, Baron just couldn't help himself from threatening Robbit to his face of his own demise.

Trivia[]

  • Baron's last name is most likely in reference to his Hawaiian attire, as it is the Hawaiian word for "Hello".
  • Baron's voice changes from English in the first game to German in the second game.
  • Baron's shirt color changed in a scene where he had fallen asleep on an astroid.
  • The bottom of Baron's ship appears to have tennis-balls on the arms. This is most likely in reference to the common practice of elders putting hollow tennis balls on the bottom of their walkers.
