Baron String was a string themed Gorma Minion of the Gorma Tribe and a supporting antagonist in Gosei Sentai Dairanger. Baron String served as the main antagonist of the 1st episode, a minor antagonist in the 2nd, a supporting antagonist in Gosei Sentai Dairanger The Movie, and a reincarnated version of him later serving as a supporting antagonist in the final episode.
He was voiced by the late Reizo Nomoto who later voiced Count Kaleidoscope, Great King Ojaru and the New Gorma Monster all also in Dairanger. His human form was provided by Gou Fujida.

Past[]
Baron String was born 8000 years ago in ancient China as a low ranking member of the Gorma Tribe dubbed a Gorma Minion; humans that could assume more powerful monster forms themed around objects. When the Gorma Tribe declared war on the other two tribes of the Daos Empire some 8000 years ago, Baron String was among the army that engaged in the war but he was killed in battle when six members of the Dai Tribe become the Dairangers. As with all Gorma however, he will revive always sometime in the future because the Yo Power they used was the counterpart to the Dai Tribe's Dai Power. As long as the Dai Power exists, so will the Gorma Tribe be resurrected.
Dairanger[]
In 1993, Baron String resurrects in a new pipe themed body but does not serve the Gorma Triumvirate like most of his kind and instead operates independently. Baron String is first seen in his human child form singing a song before being spotted by Ryo as he takes out the rubbish from a restaurant before kidnapping his friend Yumi in his true form. When Ryo tries to stop this, Baron String strikes him down with his tentacle and tries to crush him only for RyuseiOh to save him. Later, Baron String appears to aid the Cotpotros that the Gorma Triumvirate send to kill Ryo and four others before they can become the Dairangers and kill the Gorma. He entangles them in his strings and tries to impale Ryo on a spiked tentacle but he morphs them and cuts the strings. Baron String sends the Cotpotros after them and fights Ryo himself, recognising his fighting style and managing to completely overwhelm him only to have his tentacle cut off and be defeated by the Lightning Blaze Destruction attack which takes him down and releases his victims from inside of him.
However, Baron String survives and uses a Growth Bomb to grow giant at which point he kicks away the Dairangers and his victims. Although he then tries to crush them, Master Kaku summons RyuseiOh which overwhelms Baron String with its Big Blaze and strikes him with its claws before assuming Warrior Mode. The two fight until Baron String is knocked down and plays dead only to restrain RyuseiOh and fry it with lightning. However, it uses the Flying Dragon Rod to cut the tentacle before cutting him down with the Windmill Kick and slaying Baron String with the Great Windmill Slice.
50 years after, Baron String resurrects as the New Gorma Monster and rampages through Tokyo but is killed by Dairen'oh piloted by the new generation of the Dairangers.
Personality[]
Befitting his human form, Baron String was an extremely childish monster who only wanted friends and often complained like a child when defeated.
Powers And Abilities[]
- Strength: Baron String was able to take down Ryo with single tentacle swipes and overwhelm Ryuseioh with his bare hands.
- Durability: Baron String was blasted by Ryuseioh's Big Blaze as well as its claws and barely be fazed. Even the Lightning Blaze Destruction only knocked him down for a moment.
- Resilience: When Ryuseioh unleashed its Windmill Kick, it took three of these swing around kicks to knock him down.
- Depth Perception: Baron String had depth perception despite having only one eye in his true form.
- Human Form: Baron String could assume the form of a human child by fading in and out of existence.
- Teleportation: Baron String was able to teleport to any location by popping in and out of existence.
- Pipe Strike: Baron String could fire forth a wave of pipes from behind his head, using them to entangle his enemies and throw them around.
- Expert Fighter: Baron String was able to fight and overwhelm Ryo with his bare hands.
- Reflexes: Baron String was quick enough to catch Ryo's DairenSword mid-swing and catch Kazu's Dairenrod when it was being thrown past him.
- Lightning Blast: Baron String could fire blue lightning from the eye hanging down from his chest. These caused massive explosions but didn't faze Ryuseioh.

- Tentacles: Baron String had a large brown tentacle ripped with a mouth instead of a right hand that he could use against his enemies.
- Tentacle Launch: Baron String could launch his right tentacle arm with enough force to send Ryo flying with a single hit.
- Victim Eating: Baron String could eat his victims with his tentacle mouth as seen when he was forced to release them after being hit by the Lightning Blaze Destruction.
- Electric Shock: Baron String could entangle his enemies with his tentacle arm and then hit his arm with enough force to cause it to electrify and shock his enemies. He did this to the Red Dragon Thunderzord.
- Growth Bombs: Baron String used a Growth Bomb to grow giant on two different occasions.
- Dairenrod: During the movie, Baron String caught Kazu's Dairenrod mid-throw and attacked him with it.
