Baron Vengeous is one of the Three Generals and a supporting antagonist in Skulduggery Pleasant, appearing as the main antagonist in Playing with Fire, where Baron Vengeous' objective was to resurrect the Grotesquery and summon the Faceless Ones to the Earth.
His magical ability was that by staring at someone or thing for around 10 second he could make them explode, He also is able to use Lord Vile's armor.
An Alternate version of him appears as a major antagonist in Kingdom of The Wicked and a minor antagonist in The Dying of the Light and Seasons of War.
Biography[]
The War[]
As a fanatical believer in the Faceless Ones, Vengeous was a part of Mevolent's army during the war. Initially a member of the diablery he later became one of Mevolent's three generals alongside Nefarian Serpine and Lord Vile and often worked with the vampire Dusk and the serial killer Billy-Ray Sanguine. During the war he found parts of the body of a Faceless One and combined it with parts of several other beasts in an attempt to revive it. To achieve this he needed the magic of a powerful necromancer and the blood of one of the ancients. However, before he could find those, he was ambushed by Skulduggery Pleasant who manged to defeat him in the most legendary battle of the war by throwing a stick of lit dynamite at him. Vengeous was then imprisoned in Russia while Melovent himself was killed and his remaining followers (including Serpine) signed a truce with the sanctuaries that gave them immunity.
