Baron Zemo is a one-time antagonist featured in the Deadpool Max series.
He is cruel, bigoted, and completely devoted to the notion that the white race is superior to all others. Even in his last words he demonstrates his bigotry when he asks Deadpool if he is indeed white, as in his mind only a white man should be so magnificent in combat.
He blames all the world's problems on the Jewish and colored populaces, and like many real life conspiracists believe they control the world behind the scenes.
Although he doesn't realize it, his prejudice is just his way of dealing with tragedy that he experienced in his early life. And while he was always bigoted it certainly got worse after losing two relatives to cancer as well as his father to suicide.
Biography[]
Upon finding out as a boy that his grandfather was once a Nazi during World War 2, he would also discover his grandfather had been skinning and collecting the heads of minorities. His grandfather had made a commitment to himself to rid a minority every year. A young Zemo seeing his collection and hearing his grandfather's story was enthused. From that point on, his grandfather would take him out to harass, beat, and kill minorities.
Years later after his grandfather's death by cancer, he swore to continue the mission. Until he realized it wasn't efficient enough just doing it himself; minorities were all over the world and he was taking lives one by one.
He would establish a "whites only" town called Whiteland, where people of color would be shot onsite just for nearing the property. At his height there were over 2000 residents under Zemo, but this was still not enough. So he devised a grand plan to rally even more support involving the murder of his very own citizens.
He planned to murder all the women and children, allowing all the men exit beforehand, in Whiteland and frame the situation as an act of murder by the colored communities. Unfortunately for Zemo, Deadpool would quickly topple his plans and murder many if not most of his soldiers. Deadpool would then grab Zemo by the throat, and in his last moments Zemo would ask the super combatant if he was white. In quick response Deadpool broke his neck, quipping that "he was always right."
