(Dexter punches three more times) The nice thing about the liver is that if you hit it just right, you hit the vagus nerve which tentacles out to the rest of your body. (Dexter delivers two more punches) Your brain short circuits, your body shuts down, and you feel, what's the word, terror? Which is what Olivia felt every time you hit her there just so the bruises wouldn't show. I want you to listen to me carefully. Listen to me carefully, because this is what you're gonna do. You're gonna call Olivia's mother. You're gonna tell her you're sick of her fat ass. You can't stand to look at it anymore and you're gonna make her believe it, because if you don't, she may take you back one day and let you near her kid or mine and I can't let that happen. (Dexter throws Barry to the ground) You're not even gonna swing by to pick up your stuff. You're just gonna leave. Tomorrow, when I drop Olivia off, you will be gone. If you ever come back, believe me, I won't go so easy next time. (Dexter stomps on Barry's side) By the way, that's your kidney.

Biography[]
When Dexter Morgan's stepdaughter Astor and her friend Olivia go missing, the Miami Metro Police Department begin searching for a white van that was seen outside his house by one of his neighbors. This van belongs to Barry, who is arrested while filling up his van with petrol. Upon being arrested, he tells police that he is Olivia's mother's boyfriend and had gone to Dexter's house to find her only for her to already be missing. He is soon proven to be telling the truth when Olivia and Astor are found at a local mall, where they were arrested for shoplifting.
When found, Olivia refuses to go home with Barry and instead goes back to Dexter's house to gather her things. While there, Lumen Pierce notices bruises on Olivia's body and notifies Dexter. Astor admits that Barry beats Olivia other small things like her being slightly late, making sure to land the blows where the bruises won't show. Dexter promises to deal with Barry.
That evening, Dexter stalks Barry and confronts him in an alleyway. When Barry denies abusing Olivia, Dexter punches him several times in his vital organs while explaining the physical injuries Barry can expect to suffer as a result. He orders Barry to break up with Olivia's mother and not even pick up his things when he leaves. Soon after, Barry calls Olivia's mother and insults her, ending the relationship.
It's entirely unknown as to what happened to Barry afterwards, but it's highly likely he stopped dating or at least stopped abusing children out of fear of Dexter beating him again or killing him.
