Sir Bartleby MontClair of Dresdin is a major character in the Sonic Underground cartoon. He is an egotistical, aristocratic mink and Sonia's ex-fiance.
He was voiced by Phil Hayes, who also voiced Scratch in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Appearance[]
Bartleby is a tall blonde-yellow mink with curled blonde hair with curled bangs at the front. He has two seperate eyes with black irises, a brown muzzle and a round brown nose.
He is often seen wearing a red coat with a white undershirt and gloves, a brown belt, and a pair of green pants.
Personality[]
Bartleby is highly conceited, often caring more about himself that anyone else. He has on some ocassions shown villainous behavior, such as showing admiration for Doctor Robotnik, even aiding him in a few episodes, though this is mostly due to his cowardace above all else.
Trivia[]
- Bartleby can be considered to be a Sonic Underground equivalent to Antoine Depardieu from the Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He also very loosley resembles him. In the episode "Come Out Wherever You Are", Sonia even imagines him in a royal uniform resembling that of Antoine. His last name also sounds French.
- This indicates that Bartleby, much like Antoine, is meant to be French, though despite this, he speaks in an upper-class British accent, as his voice actor Phil Hayes is British himself.
- He is one of the most hated characters of Sonic Underground due to his personality being considered annoying.
