Basan is a creature of japanese folklore very similar to a giant rooster. He appears in Mexican series Legend Quest as a minor antagonist in the episode, "Kaiju".
History[]
Minutes after the Kaiju was repelled by the catapults and moved away from the shores towards the volcano, a bird droppings would fall on Vizier's head; being a fearsome Basan that would break the tranquility of the villagers. The beast would run towards the Vizier to fight her, letting out a ferocious screech. The fight was interrupted with the arrival of the Kaiju, being frightened by its presence and flying while dropping an egg. The Basan returns in a scene where he is crushed by the Kaiju when fighting with Akihito.
