Bear Kong is a bear-themed monster of the Satan Empire and an antagonist in episode 20 of The Kagestar.
He is voiced by the late Shigeyuki Hosoi, who also voiced Koshikakeman in Robot Detective.
Biography[]
Bear Kong was created by Doctor Satan and sent to target people using a special camera he had invented capable of creating an evil copy of whomever it was used on. Bear Kong first used the camera on a woman to create an evil copy of her that began chasing her and trying to kill her. The woman eventually ran into Inspector Tonda, Kageo and Suzuko, who stepped in to defend her against her copy and the Satan Combatants accompanying it. Bear Kong then appeared and tried to create an evil copy of Kageo, but Kageo kept dodging it. In the process, Bear Kong inadvertently used the camera on a boy who just happened to be passing by, creating an evil copy of him as well. Kageo and Suzuko then transformed into Kagestar and Bellestar to do battle against Bear Kong and his minions. After Kagestar kicked Bear Kong in the eye and injured him, Bear Kong retreated.
At the Satan Empire HQ, Bear Kong recovered with an eyepatch placed over his left eye. His next target for the camera was a criminal who had volunteered to work with the Satan Empire, with Bear Kong creating an eviler copy of him. Bear Kong, the crook and the evil copies he had created would later make another attempt to attack Kagestar and Bellestar and kill their originals. After fighting off the Satan Combatants, Kagestar and Bellestar duplicated themselves and performed a "Double Shairen" with them to defeat the copies. They then performed their "Double Shairen" on Bear Kong to finish him off, causing him to explode and take the copies with him.
