Behemoth the Elephant, or simply the Behemoth, is a mythological beast originating from Dictionnaire Infernal.
In this version, the Behemoth appears to be an elephant, with a massive stomach. it appears that Behemoth is a demonic-creature, which owns various traits of animals such as a body of a hippo and a head of an elephant. Also the Behemoth appears that he is wearing the elephant-head, hiding his true real identity.
History
Behemoth controls the glutton domain, because he is the butler of hell. Bodin believed that Behemoth was a Pharaoh from Egypt, which had a role in persecuting the Israelites. There are disagreements over Behemoth's appearance. There isn't an official description of Behemoth's physical appearance. Various people described Behemoth as a rhinoceros, buffalo or a hippopotamus. Some even believe that he is a species which doesn't exist anymore.
Urbain Brandier wrote down that the Behemoth is a demon, while Delancre thinks the Behemoth is a brute-animal, which can disguise into other animals. Wierus believes that Behemoth could be Satan himself. It's also noted that Rabbis creates Behemoth a roast on the festival, because Behemoth can eat a lot. They created the roast big enough, so Behemoth could gobble up the hay of thousands mountains a day, which Behemoth eaten at the beginning of the world.
Behemoth never leaves these mountains, if he did the time would of been disrupted. Rabbis also says that God had a role in killing the female Behemoth, so they couldn't reproduce.
