Belaric Marcosa is a minor antagonist in Marvel Comics, mainly fighting Werewolf by Night. He was once a human sorcerer who desired immortality and was able to achieve it after death, as he would come to death to torment the ling at his haunted mansion.
Biography[]
In life, Belaric Marcosa was man who would invited people to his house, in false tense that he would cure illnesses. Once entering they would fall under his spell and committed evil acts for his own amusement. He would then have them murder each other for his own amusement. After his death, he would continue his evil acts beyond the grave as a ghost.
When a group of researchers including Steve Marston and Elaine Marston to investigate the house Marcosa and it horrifying stories. Elaine was the only one to survive and could not remember what had happen there. Elaine Marston, Jack (the Werewolf by Night) and Lisa Russel, Topaz and Buck Cowen (Belaric in disguise) return to the Marcosa house and investigate it. During the night the group witness many attacks from Belaric himself and the spirits of the house. The Werewolf by Night finally put an end to his terror once and for all by founding Belaric's bones and destroying them with a sledgehammer.
