Belial is one of the main antagonists of the Granblue fantasy series.
He is a fallen angel and the right-hand man of Lucilius and brother of Lucifer.
Yoshimasa Hosoya voiced him in the original Japanese version while he was voiced by Matthew David Rudd in English.
History[]
Belial is one of the many creations of Lucilius,created around the same time as Lucifer did. Growing up,Belial found Lucifer's goody two shoes act to be boring which is way he preffered doing evil acts thought he had some begruding respect for his strength. He is infacutated with his creator Lucilius who does not reproicate it. He plotted with his master for bring broguht the end of the world just show he can be by Lucilius's side. He also had an rivalery with Beelzebub and Sandalpon. He was also good friends with Sariel and later plots with Beelzebub for their plans. Later Lucifer find out of Lucilius plans and decpitated him and belial too the head to contiune his legacy and revive him using Beezlebub. In the current times he mainpulated Sandalpon on being scorned by Lucifer and later meets the crew prenteding to be a simple perverted man flritng with every thing that moves.
However this was a ruse by Belial to catch them unprepared which works since he used lucifer and Sandalpon's war against the protagonist and their crew to his advantge alongside Beelzebub. Later after Beelzebub kills Lucifer,Belial takes his corpse and uses it to revive Lucilius and later betraying Beelzebub when he plotted against him. There he would aid Lucilus against Gran/Djeeta and their allies. After Sandalpon's helps the crew beat Lucilius,Belial and him were imprisoned in the Rift.Belial can also be a summon and lines suggest Lucilus does not enjoy his company and that he sulks over his loss to Sandalpon.
In the Versus series,Belial appears as one of the playable characters alongside his form aAvatar Belial the result of him asorbing the avatar.There he escapes his prisonusing Beelzebub again this time preparing for Lucilus return as well.In Rising Lucilius finally gets free and belial helps him get revenge on the crew captain Gran and his other self Djeeta but both were defeated and imprison again
