The Bellamy Pirates were a group of pirates led by Bellamy and are the main antagonists of the Jaya Arc.
History[]
Prior to the series, the Bellamy Pirates were originally formed in the North Blue, where they would travel to the Grandland and stopped at Mock Town, where they encountered Donquixote Doflamingo in Jaya, where they swore their allegiance to him, and were permitted to use his Jolly Roger under the condition that they don't dishonor it.
The Group made their appearance when they arrived at a bar, Where Luffy, Zoro and Nami were as their captain Bellamy attacked Luffy, slamming him to the table, only for Zoro to point his sword near his neck. When they learn that The Strawhats were looking for Sky Island, The Bellamy Pirates, along with the other customers all laughed at them, stating that Sky Island doesn't exist as it was a made-up place, despite Nami's Log Pose pointing up. Upon seeing Luffy and Zoro refusing to fight back, the male crew members started beating Luffy and Zoro, despite Nami telling them they can. Afterwards The Bellamy Pirates continued to mock and laugh at them as Nami dragged the boys out from the Bar.
Later as the Strawhats went off to the locate a south bird, The Bellamy Pirates arrived to take the gold that Mont Blanc Cricket collected from diving in the ocean. While the Male Crew Members and Sarquiss had difficulty fighting Cricket and the Saruyama Alliance, Bellamy defeated them with ease thanks to his spring-spring fruit and took their gold.
At the Bar, as the crew celebrated their victory and obtaining good, as a man named Jobo arrived when he revealed Luffy and Zoro's bounties, which are shown to be even higher than Bellamy's 55,000,000 bounty. While the people who laughed at them believed they will kill them for mocking them, The Bellamy Pirates believed that the bounties were fakes just to scare everyone from what happened today.
During the fight better Luffy and Bellamy, the crew criticize Luffy on not throwing a single punch during this fight and started laughing as Bellamy was about to defeat Luffy with his Spring-Hopper, Only for Luffy to listen and defeated Bellamy with one punch, slamming him to the ground and knocking him out. As the laughter stopped and the crew became silent, Sarquiss believed that Bellamy is putting on a show as he knew that Bellamy would never lose to Luffy but when he sees that Bellamy isn't moving, Sarquiss began enraged and told Bellamy to continue the fight as he knew that their captain, who is the strongest of them all could never lost to a weakling like Luffy, when suddenly after a quick flashback of Jobo's warning and Luffy's Bounty hitting his face, The Bellamy Pirates now realize that Luffy's Bounty is real as Luffy looked at the Bellamy Pirates and demanded the return of Cricket's Gold, causing everyone who laughed at him and Zoro from earlier to run in terror, leaving the Bellamy Pirates as the only group left.
After Luffy left with the stolen gold, The Bellamy Pirates are shown to be near their unconscious captain as Sarquiss still refuse to believe that their captain (and more importantly themselves) could be defeated by a kid and not wanting their reputation to be tarnished tried to pick a fight with Luffy, only to be stopped by one of the male crewmates, where he asked where he's going. Luffy then made a fist, which scared The Bellamy Pirates, only for Luffy to turn it into a pointing finger as he revealed that he is going to Sky Island. Afterwards Sarquiss encounter Blackbeard as he is still upset that Luffy ruined the crew's reputation, Blackbeard grabbed his face and slammed it to the ground, causing another humiliation that led to them losing their popularity.
A few days later in the Long Ring Long Land Arc, Sarquiss and Bellamy are seen fighting, which caused the citizens and even the Bellamy Pirates confuse on why they are fighting, as it was revealed that Donquixote Doflamingo arrived and using his String-String Fruit to control Sarquiss to attack a badly injured Bellamy for breaking the promise of not dishonoring Doflamingo's Jolly Roger. Sarquiss was then controlled one last time to use his knife and badly cut Bellamy which led to the belief that Bellamy was killed only for it to revealed that Bellamy survived the attack.
While it is unknown what happened to the Bellamy Pirates during the Time-Skip, it is believed that they lost their lives while trying to reach sky land as Bellamy was the sole survivor as he gave a golden pillar to Doflamingo.

- In the manga, River was the pirate that held Sarquiss from picking a fight with Luffy after he defeated Bellamy while the Anime had Eddy fight.
- Strangely though, despite having a female combatant of the Bellamy Pirates, Mani is never seen fighting as she is mostly seen in the background.
