Belle Noir, real name Sarah Cunningham, is the secondary antagonist of Red Tide, which served as the first part of American Horror Story: Double Feature. She is the right-hand woman of the Chemist and a best-selling author of erotica novels and seasonal resident of Provincetown.
She is portrayed by Frances Conroy, who played Penny Fleck in Joker, Elizabeth Hendrick in Law & Order, and two other American Horror Story villains, the older Moira O'Hara in Murder House and Apocalypse, and the reenactment version of Mama Polk in Roanoke.

Belle Noir is an ambitious and arrogant individual, who believed that her addiction to success is something to be proud of, even with the drug Muse's enhancement as well as its following effects.
She is also a blatant elitist and looks down on pretty much everyone, though she particularly seems to hate Mickey and Karen.
