When he hears news that a masked crime fighter named The Green Hornet is trying to take control of the city from him, Chudnofsky becomes obsessed with killing him. He arranges a meeting with The Green Hornet but when he arrives, Chudnofsky tries to have him buried alive - when this fails, he attempts to run him over with a lorry instead. Chudnofsky later discovers that The Green Hornet is actually Britt Reid, the immature head of a newspaper company named the Daily Sentinel, and concocts a plan to kill him using Britt's former partner, Kato. Chudnofsky later teams up with the corrupt District Attorney Frank Scanlon as they both have a mutual interest in destroying The Green Hornet. Following another meeting, Kato reveals he is still loyal to Britt and they escape from Chudnofsky in The Green Hornet's car. After crashing the car into the Daily Sentinel building, a large gunfight ensues between Britt, Kato and Chudnofsky's men. Chudnofsky manages to gain the upper hand over Kato and holds him at gunpoint, but Britt lunges at him and saves Kato. As Chudnofsky attacks, Kato stabs him in the eyes with broken chair legs seconds before Britt shoots him in the chest with his own two-barreled gun, killing Chudnofsky instantly.
