Benny is the main antagonist of the controversial psychological horror Benny's Video.
He was played by Arno Frisch, who also played Paul, in Funny Games (1997 film).
History[]
Benny is a 14-year old introverted, lonely student who lives with his parents. Benny is obsessed with horror movies, but primarily a video of a pig being butchered to death, by his parents. Benny becomes fascinated with death, and wanting to know how death really feels like. While Benny is going to rent another movie, outside he spotted a girl standing at the video store. Benny manages to befriend her, and brings her to his house.
Inside the house, Benny and the girl conversate, and they also talk about death. Benny explains how his father showed him his deceased grandfather when he was little, but Benny was too scared to look at it. Benny ends up taking the weapon which his parents killed the pig, and he shot three times the girl. Cameras have been rolling the whole time, while Benny shot the girl. Eventually, Benny's parents have found the tape which recorded the crime.
Both of the parents lost their mind, and talked to each other planning what to do. The parents decided the following: The mother and Benny will go on a vacation in Egypt, while the father allows to chop the girl in pieces and flush her remaining parts of the body. The mother and Benny end up Egypt where they spend a week or so. Eventually, Benny and his mother went back to their country. However, the police managed to track Benny, and his parents. Movie ends with most likely all three of them being sentenced.
