Benny Ironside is a major antagonist of the horror anthology TV series Slasher. He appeared in Season 2 as a member of the We All Live as One commune, and is eventually revealed to be a former inmate hiding under a fake identity.
He was portrayed by Ty Olsson, who also played Talbert in Smallville, Martin Somers in Arrow and Red in War of the Planet of the Apes.
History[]
Very little is known about Benny, other than that he used to be an inmate of an unnamed prison. During his time in jail, he advised a new inmate named Glenn Morgan and the two developed a relationship. However, the relationship was not a good one and was one-sided as Glenn only accepted it, because he was afraid of Benny.
After being released, Glenn moved to a place called Tamarind Bluffs, where he started living in an RV. Benny was released some time after and found Glenn. But, Glenn wasn't happy to see Benny and told him off, revealing that he didn't love Benny. In anger, Benny killed Glenn and hid his body inside the RV. Afterwards, Benny stole Glenn's identity and joined a commune called We All Live As One.
Throughout season two, "Glenn" and other commune members were stalked by the Camp Motega Killer. After Counselor Noah Jenkins discovered his true identity, Benny abducts him and imprisons him in a cabin, where he sodomizes him. After Noah escapes, everyone assumes Benny was the killer.
Near the end of the series, Benny attempted to kill Judith Berry (the true killer) and Renée, but is shot and tied up. Renée, still believing him to be the killer, tortures him in retaliation for the murder of her partner Antoine. She then finishes him off by slitting his throat.
