Bernard Grubb is the main antagonist of the 2021 reality mobile video game Wallace & Gromit: The Big Fix Up, a spin-off of the Wallace and Gromit franchise.

He is the former city baker, the former mayor of Bristol and a nemesis of Wallace and Gromit, exacting revenge on them for killing his ex-fiancé Piella Bakewell.

He was voiced by Jim Carter, who also played Rookery in The Little Vampire.

Biography

Grubb was a pie baker who was in love with Piella Bakewell, but when she was eaten by crocodiles he blamed her death on Wallace. Grubb devised a plan to get his revenge his Wallace by becoming the mayor of Bristol and tasking Wallace with building a gigantic replica of his L-A-D robot. Grubb attempted to frame Wallace by using the robot to destroy Bristol, but his plan was foiled by Gromit and his friends who saved Wallace and had Grubb imprisoned. But the game ends with a cliffhanger when Grubb hacks Wallace and Gromit's lab computer, Beryl, to find way to escape prison and get revenge against Wallace and Gromit.

Trivia

• It is unknown whether Piella Bakewell had planned to kill him or if they were actually in love even while she was insane.
• Grubb is the fourth human villain in the franchise, following Victor Quartermaine, Piella Bakewell and Monty Muzzle.
• Bernard Grubb is the only human Wallace and Gromit villain to not have any animal/pet (or in fact dog) relationships. Victor Quartermaine is the master of Philip, Piella Bakewell is the former owner of Fluffles, and Monty Muzzle is the caretaker of Twitch.
