Beth Dorsey is a secondary antagonist in season six of Dexter.

She was portrayed by Jordana Spiro.

History[]

Ricochet Rabbit[]

After Dexter Morgan realizes that Travis Marshall killed Professor James Gellar several years before the show and Travis finally comes to terms with it, he decides he does not need Gellar anymore and decides that if he's going to carry out his doomsday plot, he need the help of disciples. Travis decides to go with a loyal follower named Steve Dorsey and his wife Beth, meeting them at their home, and decides to test if they're fulling committed to their cause by bringing them to a boat called the Ricochet Rabbit which is owned by Peter Grant. When Holly Benson, Peter's girlfriend and former attempted victim of Travis arrives on the boat, she's kidnapped by the three and tied to a chair. Under Travis' orders, Steve stabs her in the chest after Travis slits her throat, then tosses her body into the ocean.

Having tested Steve already and staying behind to clean up their crime scene, Dexter arrives at the boat hoping to find Travis. After a brief fight with Steve who was wearing a hazmat suit, Dexter ends up killing him, who tells Dexter with his dying words that he'll never stop Travis. Later on after Holly's body is discovered, Sergeant Angel Batista visits Steve Dorsey's house since he's a suspect in the case, Travis knock him out believing that the MMPD are their true targets for "Wormwood".

Talk to the Hand[]

Travis gives Beth a cannister of "Wormwood", a toxic gas, and sends her to the offices of the MMPD while using Angel's keycard to get past security. Once she gets to the homicide department, she asks to see Debra Morgan and waits patiently for her to return. When both Debra and Dexter return to the station, Dexter sees a photo of Steve and Beth together on the internet and realizes that she's also working with Travis. Seeing Debra take Beth to the interrogation room believing she has information on the case, he quickly shoves her inside alone with the gas while it quickly kills her and the building is evacuated, though Dexter passes out after being exposed to a small bit of the gas but is thankfully revived outside.
