The Beyonder is the overarching antagonist of the 2023 animated series, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. He's a mercurial and omniscient entity that knows little about humans and was sent by other Beyonders to come to earth and learn about them so he can decide if they're worthy of existence.
He is voiced by Laurence Fishburne, who also played Thrax in Osmosis Jones and Bill Foster in Ant-Man and the Wasp. He also voiced the same character in the show itself.
The Beyonder has a tall and slender body, a long chin, small ears, a small snub nose, longer and pointy fingers, and black and orange skin, black streaks on his chin that resemble facial hair, behind the ears and above the elbows have small designs similar to flame decals. He also has pure white eyes with no pupils and irises, has blue eyeshadow for makeup, and turquoise lips and hair that has Quiff style. He always wears a futuristic tight-fitted white, black, and sky blue suit with long pointy shoulder pads, along with black boots.
Powers and Abilities[]
Reality Warping: In the show, The Beyonder has the general ability to manipulate reality on a virtually infinite scale with just a snap of his fingers. He can reverse gravity, replication, alter the physical appearances of anyone or anything, manipulate their personalities, animate inanimate objects, shrink or enlarge both people and objects, alter the flow of time, erase anything from existence, open inter-dimensional gate ways, and more. With all those powers there is a drawback to them, his powers are connected to his emotions he has full control of his powers as long he is in a calm and orderly mindset, but if he is overwhelmed by negative emotions (like stress, frustration, depression, rage, and etc) then his powers will randomize and thus cause bizarre and chaotic effects to his surroundings.
4th Wall Awareness: On occasion, He is aware that he's in a cartoon, meaning he can perform feats that breaks the 4th wall and interact with the audience. With this power he usually serves as the show's narrator in charge of what Lunella calls it "Beyonder explain" the things that go on in the show. Most likely giving episode recaps and backstory run downs of new characters.
Singing Skills: The Beyonder is a well talented baritone signer who happily enjoys musical numbers. With his funky and flamboyant character his choice of music revolves around the 60s and 70s.
Nigh-Omnipotence: The Beyonder describes himself as all-powerful. He can erase planets on a whim.
Matter Manipulation: The Beyonder can manipulate, conjure, and modify matter.
Reality Manipulation: The Beyonder can change scientific laws, decolorizing the world and removing concepts like gravity.
Biological Manipulation: The Beyonder can gift Devil Dinosaur muscles and turn him into a baby dinosaur.
Media Manipulation: The Beyonder can get Selena Gomez to follow Casey on social media.
Shapeshifting: The Beyonder can change his appearance, including mimicking other people and their voices. He can separate and reform his body, and dematerialize and rematerialize at will.
Teleporation: The Beyonder can teleport and open portals.
Flight: The Beyonder can fly and levitate. Additionally, he can survive in space.
Telepathy: The Beyonder can communicate with people telepathically.
Nigh-Omniscience: The Beyonder describes himself as all-knowing. However, just because he knows everything, that doesn't mean he automatically understands what he knows.
Backstory[]
Beyonder is part of a race of humanoid manipulators of reality that come directly from "The Beyond". Eventually, he was sent to Earth by other Beyonders to learn more about them and decide if they're worth of existence and if they're not, wipe them all out of reality. After some time of studying Lunella and her L.E.S. friends he eventually came to the conclusion that all earthlings are both valuable and entertaining, so he made the decision to spare humanity and to stay to further explore more of the wonders earth has to offer.
In Season 2, In the episode "To Intervention and Beyond-er" he gets a full self-reflection. During an argument with Lunella where she recaps her awful times together with him, highlighting all the trauma and emotional whiplash she had to live with, he fully realized the severity of his mistakes and the pain he had unintentionally left behind. In another moment she declared to consider him a friend and that she wanted to start over with their relationship he vowed to do better along with being more responsible and considerate with his actions.

Trivia[]
The Beyonder’s voice actor also produces the show. Fishburne also is known to portray previous Marvel characters, such as Bill Foster, and the Silver Surfer.
The Beyonder is the one who narrates the backstories of villains in each episode.
The idea to use the Beyonder for the show came from Kevin Feige.
In the comics, the Beyonder is an all-powerful cosmic being from beyond the multiverse. For his "Secret Wars," he created the planet Battleworld, where he had many heroes and villains fight to see which side would triumph. Afterwards, he visited the Earth and gave himself a human body to study humanity in person. Frustrated by his experience, the Beyonder contemplated about erasing the multiverse, but was stopped by the Earth's heroes.
