Bezel is the redeemed main antagonist of the animated comedy web series Chikn Nuggit created by Kyra Kupetsky.
He is the living manifestation of the Doomsday Clock, masquerading as the Embodiment of Time, who appears to "taunt mortals" and generally act mischievous. He also has knowledge of a prophecy involving the title character Chikn Nuggit that will culminate in the end of the world, A prophecy he hopes can be fulfilled.
He is voiced by Kellen Goff, who also voices Overlord in the same series, as well as voicing Funtime Freddy in Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location.
Appearance[]
Bezel wears a purple suit with a cyan coloring for the collar and the undersides of the coat-tails. The suit sports the numbers 1, 2 and 3 where there would normally be buttons, and Bezel also has matching purple pants and boots. Bezel is also shown with gloves and a pink bow tie, and he has a floating clock for a head. The clock itself is cyan-colored with a purple dot in the center, a pink minute hand and a cyan hour hand.
Personality[]
Bezel is shown to be smart and very mischievous, as well as overall enigmatic and patient. At first, he denies wanting to cause any trouble, claiming he's just around to have fun, as well as denying that he's evil when directly asked, but later appearances show that he has a sinister interest in Chikn Nuggit, with it later being revealed that he knows of the puppy's true nature as a demigod and hoping for Chikn to use his powers to their fullest extent and bring about the end of the world.
Despite his malicious intentions, Bezel can also act pretty goofy and is capable of getting riled up over minor things such as people using digital devices to tell what time it is. He also has a soft spot for cats, as shown in his interactions with Cheezborger.
Biography[]
Bezel first introduces himself to the world from an offhand comment by Chikn and Slushi. Introducing himself as the Embodiment of Time, Bezel quickly makes his presence known to the inhabitants of the land, much to the dismay of Fwench Fwy, who already knows Bezel's business of messing with mortals. Despite their initial caution, Bezel slowly works his way into the daily antics of the cast, with him especially becoming "attached" to Chikn Nuggit himself.
However, during their meetups, Bezel would slowly start corrupting Chikn, making the dog, really the dormant Demigod of Chaos, slowly self-aware of all of the chaos and inconsistencies of his world, trying to convince the pup to start using his power for chaos for chaos' sake. While initially ignorant of Bazel's claims, even seeming to believe that Bezel is evil, Chikn slowly starts to succumb to Bezel's words, starting to have nightmares as he starts to question his own reality.
Unrelated to Bezel's schemes, Chikn's friends start doing things other than hang out with Chikn: Slushi and Sody Pop start hanging out more, Fwench Fwy and Iscream start neglecting their duty to watch over Chikn, and Cofi and especially Cheezborger start going out on dates and focusing on their relationship. With less and less time around his friends, the only companion that Chikn finds is Bezel, pulling him deeper and deeper into his hands.
Bezel's drainage on Chikn's sanity rears its ugly head after Bezel coaxes Chikn to subconsciously take control over Cheezborger in order to hang out, causing the unaware demigod to become terrified of what he has done. With this single event, Chikn's mental state takes a nosedive as he slowly starts to realize that he can't actually remember a time before he met his friends, as well as coming to the realization that he was inadvertently giving his friends fragments of his power. With the revelation causing Sody Pop to need distance, Chikn's mental decline drops further, embracing his role as the Demigod of Chaos and slowly destroying the world on his own volition.
As Bezel feels as though he gotten far enough, he decides to drop the act, revealing himself as not the Embodiment of Time, but rather the living manifestation of a Doomsday Clock, literally ticking down the seconds Chikn has left until he snaps and destroys the fabric of reality.
However, his plan immediately backfires when Chikn uses his god powers to turn Bezel into a bear and make the universe cute, much to his horror and disappointment since it didn't go as he planned. He runs to Fwench Fwy for help, and accepts that he has to team up in order to put things right. With Fwench Fwy and Iscream's help, the three manage to imprison Chikn in a purple barrier. He is seen again when Cheezborger is trying to convince Chikn to end his reign of chaos; commenting on how it's unlikely she'll survive, but is then proven wrong, as she comes out of the barrier with a fully convinced Chikn Nuggit.
After Chikn turns back to normal, he turns Bezel back into his clock form. Bezel then decides to stay for a bit and pop up from time to time, much to Fwench's Fwy's confusion. He and Chikn make up, agreeing at a truce.

- Bezel was originally going to wear a sweater vest and have a chubbier figure, before his outfit was changed to a suit and his figure was made slimmer so as to parody the typical "Tumblr Sexyman" and to avoid making him a "fat comic relief".
- Bezel is the only main character in the Chikn Nuggit series whose name isn't misspelled. He also isn't named after a food, and isn't based on an animal.
- Bezel's laughter sounds like a cuckoo clock.
- In the same episode that reveals that Bezel is the Doomsday Clock and not the Embodiment of Time as he previously claimed to be, he refers to his appearance as a "manifestation", heavily implying that it's not what he actually looks like and instead is merely a form he assumes that is comprehensible to the naked eye.
- Also in the same episode, he compliments Slushi for the design, likely hinting that Slushi's attraction to "Tumblr Sexymen" was what led Bezel to adopt the form he does in the show.
- In the form of that he takes in the show, Bezel's mouth is in his neck, as confirmed in the episode "...Interesting".
- Bezel's speech bubble is the only one that has differently colored text, being purple due to the bubble itself being black.
