Big Mama, known by her real name, Fée de la Mort, is the true final boss of Rayman Origins. She serves as the boss when the player chooses the option "Land of the Livid Dead". She used to be a giant monster with tentacles until her defeat, she reverts into her original form, a Nymph.
She is voiced by Gabrielle Shrager in her Nymph form and is hinted that she was voiced by Michel Ancel, as a monster.
Role in the game[]
She first appeared in the game when the player chooses the final option The "Land of the Livid Dead". Big Mama is first seen painting her fingernails, until she notices the player and starts the battle. The player must avoid the bracelets and not fall in the lava. To defeat her, the player must hit the Bubo that appears in her arm and then attack to her eyes. Now blinded, Big Mama will still try to attack Rayman and then he must hit her in the arm again where a Bubo is on, and then hit the giant Bubo that's on the place where her eyeballs used to be. Once defeated, Big Mama returns to her normal form and thanks Rayman for saving her.
Rayman Jungle Run[]
She can see only Rayman in the unlockable images and the hidden trophy/achievement, Nothing Lasts Forever. She says he feels a great interest towards Rayman, and that they even share together and hang out in two occasions.
Rayman Legends[]
She returned as the final boss in the Back to Origins mode, in a similar way as she did in the previous game. However, the only difference is that, after her defeat, her true form does not appear, mostly to avoid spoilers.
Curiosities[]
- Since in Rayman Legends, her true form doesn't appear after her defeat, new players tend to think that as a "Final Boss", Rayman and his friends went to hit and kill an innocent lady.
