The Bigweld Security Guards are minor antagonists in the 2005 film, Robots.
Biography[]
Not much is known about the Bigweld Security Guards, but it appears they used to work for Bigweld during the time he was still in charge of Bigweld Industries. When Ratchet took over, he seemingly had the guards work for him.
A Bigweld security guard was briefly shown in his magnet crane, kicking Rodney Copperbottom out of Bigweld Industries after finding out that Ratchet took over. During the Bigweld Ball, the security guards are shown to be patrolling the entrance. When Ratchet begins to enter and give a speech that Bigweld won't be coming, Rodney protests on why the latter is no more and how outmodes are being outnumbered in favor of upgrades. Angered, Ratchet orders the security guards to arrest Rodney, which he later exposed himself after removing his disguise. This causes Rodney to mimic a bird, and cause Fender to leave his dance with Loretta Geargrinder. As Rodney is grabbed by the guards, Ratchet orders them to take him to the Chop Shop so he can be killed and turned into spare parts so they can be molded into upgrades. But Cappy protests and decides to free Rodney. As Cappy frees Rodney, this results an angered Ratchet calling the security guards to get Rodney and Cappy, along with Fender. As they were chased, Rodney tricks Tim the Gate Guard into wanting him to "see Mr. Bigweld", resulting Tim indirectly nearly trapping Rodney by closing the gates. However, Rodney was able to make it out alive and resulting the pursuing security guards hitting the wall.
A group of security guards are also shown to arrest Bigweld after Ratchet knocked him out, to which they are ordered to take him to the Chop Shop and have him melted. When Rodney protests to let him go, a group of security guards surround him and Cappy as Ratchet explains that Bigweld will be melted down into upgrades along with Rodney, Wonderbot, along with Cappy. However, Wonderbot was able to knock the security guards, allowing him to free Rodney as he knocked the other guards surrounding Bigweld. As they began to escape, the other pair of security guards recover, resulting Rodney, Bigweld, and Wonderbot exiting through the glass window. However, this results Bigweld going insane and having no memory of what happened. As they left the building, three security guards began to give chase to Rodney and Bigweld through the fountain. Cappy was able to knock out one of the pursuing security guards, only to find herself with more magnet vehicles also giving chase to Rodney and Bigweld. However, Bigweld and Rodney were able to make it out alive. Although the duo were later rescued by Cappy, who stole one of the magnet vehicles, with Ratchet having stolen one to capture both of them.
It can be implied that the security guards would later work for Bigweld after its implied that he took back the company from Ratchet following his defeat, and would crown Rodney as his eventual successor if he retires.
