William "Bill" Ponderosa also known by his nickname, Pondy is a supporting character in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He is an acquaintance of The Gang. He is a lecherous drug addict who is neglectful to his wife and children, and has hired many prostitutes and considered suicide several times.
He was portrayed by Lance Barber.
Personality[]
Bill is shown to be unapproachable and normally makes his peers uncomfortable when they interact with him. Besides this, he is also a loving family man who cares about people and is just being taken advantage of by drugs and some of the members of The Gang. But most importantly he does not let many things bother him and just wants to live his life the easy way.
Biography[]
According to Dee Reynolds, in high school, Bill was fit, popular and played football. But when he would reunite with her, she rejected him after seeing that he had grown suddenly obese. The two later slept together and when Bill's wife found out, Bill kidnapped their kids so he wouldn't have to say goodbye to them. This failed and Bill and his wife had a divorce when she found and took back her kids.
He later showed his bad side when he spiked the punch with bath salts at his sister, Maureen's wedding and felt no remorse at all. After his life gets even worse, he tells The Gang about how he is going to drink himself to death, but changes his mind when his peers try to remind him of the good things in life. His actions eventually come back to him when he goes to court over him spiking the punch with bath salts at the wedding and is saved by Charlie Kelly while doing drugs with Frank Reynolds.
