Billy Fleeter is a minor antagonist in season 3 of Dexter.
He was portrayed by Jeff Chase.
History[]
Past[]
Formerly a college student with high hopes of becoming a professional football player, Billy was unfortunately overtaken by a drug addiction and soon fell further into gambling, owing lots of money to the Nardo crime family.
To pay his debts, The mob would have Billy kill other people who owed money to them and take their money. After killing his first victim, Miguel Prado tried to have him put behind bars but didn't have enough evidence to convict him.
The Damage a Man Can Do[]
After Miguel becomes good friends with Dexter Morgan, The Bay Harbor Butcher, to help him capture and kill Billy. Dexter taught him everything he needed to know in order to kill like he does, such as making sure they were guilty and how to capture them if they were.
Miguel and Dexter then go to Billy's home where he's sedated by Dexter and brought to a private location to kill him, an old casino storage room. At first, Dexter plans to be the one to kill Billy, but then decides Miguel is ready to do it himself.
Taking the knife, Miguel makes Billy Fleeter his first victim by stabbing him in the chest. Miguel would then use what Dexter taught him to murder his rival Ellen Wolf.

Trivia[]
- Jimmy Smits, the man who plays Miguel Prado, nearly accidentally killed Billy Fleeter's actor, Jeff Chase. During the scene where Miguel kills Billy, Jimmy accidentally grabbed a real knife instead of a prop knife and stabbed at Jeff's chest, the only thing saving him from getting stabbed in the heart was the piece of plastic used to squirt out blood that was placed over his heart before shooting.
