Bionoids are creatures engineered by Criminal Syndicate Bioron through biotechnology and antagonists in Kidou Keiji Jiban. They are each created by Doctor Giba through splicing the genetics of an animal with the biotechnology genomes he invented. Each possesses an enhanced physiological structure and abilities derived from the being they were based on, as well as the ability to disguise themselves as human beings for infiltration. They are used by Bioron to carry out terrorist attacks and missions of subterfuge.

History[]

One of the first Bionoids sent out was Chamelenoid, who disguised itself as the chairman of a research facility and attempted to steal an important briefcase for Bioron. He killed a worker at the facility after he began to grow suspect. As he was making his escape, he was stopped by the Mobile Cop Jiban. Jiban defeated the Masques sent to aid Chamelenoid, prompting the Bionoid to reveal its true form. As the two faced each other, Marsha and Karsha appeared and blasted Jiban away before escaping with Chamelenoid. Chamelenoid later carried out a Bioron plan to spread a biological agent that disrupted machinery all across Japan. As this drew Jiban's attention, Chamelenoid abducted children in order to lure Jiban into a trap. The police investigator Yoko Katagiri also responded to the Bioron attacks, but she was captured as well. However, Jiban was able to free Yoko and the children from Chamelenoid before destroying the source of the virus, a genetically engineered tree. Jiban then faced Chamelenoid and destroyed him.

The next Bionoid sent out was Catnoid, who was created by Bioron to destroy Jiban. For the first stage of his plan, Catnoid posed as a criminal named Nakagawa and committed a string of robberies, leading the police to investigate. After being arrested by investigators from the MPD and taken to the MPD station for interrogation, Catnoid swapped places with Detective Ikeda and assumed his identity, using his position to covertly plant a bomb within the station. He then took control of a female reporter while she was delivering a news report on television and used her to issue a bomb threat, challenging Jiban to try and stop him. While Naoto's partner went to stop the bomb, Naoto became Jiban and went to stop Bioron. After his disguise was lifted, Catnoid attacked Jiban but the Mobile Cop used his "Jiban End" technique to destroy Catnoid.
