Black Cat (The Amazing Spider-Man Video Games)

Felicia Hardy, better known as the Black Cat, is a minor antagonist in the 2012 video game The Amazing Spider-Man, an adaptation of the eponymous superhero film, and a supporting antagonist in the 2014 video game The Amazing Spider-Man 2, an adaptation of the eponymous superhero film.

She is a cat burglar who attempts to rob a bank, then later, works for the Kingpin, then tries to kill Spider-Man after Kingpin threatened her life.

She was voiced by Ali Hillis in the main versions of both games, and by Tara Strong in the IOS version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game.

Biography[]

The Amazing Spider-Man[]

She is first seen in a bank, threatening the bank director with a gun, telling him if he keeps stalling, something bad might happen, and then admits to him that she is certified crazy. He then tells her he is not stalling. She then asks him why he can't have a nice normal safe she can break into, then tells him she won't ask, again, then tells him to give her the codes; he then tells her that he will give her the code, just don't kill him, one of Black Cat's minions tell her that they got cops all over the place and that there's no way out. Black Cat tells him to don't sweat it since she has an escape plan. A cop then tells Black Cat that they know she is in there and tells her to come out with her goons nice and easy. Black Cat then says that she sees that her reputation proceeds her, and that her dad would be so proud, then tells the bank director to come with her, then holds a gun to the back of his head, and kicks him.

After Spider-Man takes care of some of her men, he finds Black Cat with the bank director; Black Cat then says it's been fun, but her ride is almost here. The bank director then asks her if she is letting him go, and Black Cat then says of course, because what is the use of him once they have all of his money, a subway car appears, the bank director's leg is hurt, then, Black Cat taunts him, then leaves. Spider-Man then follows her, and fights more of her men, she then orders her men to take down Spider-Man, after Spider-Man takes down all of Black Cat's men, Spider-Man heads to a subway, Black Cat surprise attacks Spider-Man by electric bomb. She then attempts to shoot him, but Spider-Man dodges, they then fight, Spider-Man then comes out victorious, then hands Black Cat to the police.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2[]

Black Cat would eventually escape from custody. She did this by making a deal with a newly forming crime lord called, The Kingpin, who promised her freedom and let her undergo experiments in order to become more like Spider-Man, in exchange for Black Cat completing an assignment for him, which she agreed to. The experiment worked and Black Cat would gain superhuman speed and strength, but soon came to regret the deal when Kingpin told her that she had to kill Spider-Man as part of the deal. Despite being hesitant, she agreed cause she knew she would be killed if she didn't.

Black Cat would later make her presence and escape known to Spider-Man first by trying to assassinate Spider-Man when he was looking for Dennis Carradine, then by stealing the phone of Whitney Chang. She would later attend a party hosted by Wilson Fisk (Kingpin's civilian identity). During this, he encounters Spider-Man civilian identity, Peter Parker; she denies knowing him but gives him her full name. In a museum, Black Cat set up a trap for Spider-Man, and after, he easily took down some of her guards, causing the two to come to blows. Despite her newly gained strength and speed she was still no match for Spider-Man. She ends up confessing her newly gained feelings for Spider-Man and reveals that Wilson Fisk is The Kingpin, and offers for the two of them to run away together, which Spider-Man declines. She is disappointed, but she breaks free from the webs and flees into the city, knowing she and Spider-Man will meet again someday.
