Black Hole is a minor antagonist in the anime/manga series Kinnikuman.
He makes his first appearance as one of the main antagonists during the Seven Devil Chojin Arc where he would be killed, later he would be revived and act as a minor antagonist during the Dream Chojin Tag Arc alongside his cousin, Pentagon.
During Kinnikuman (2011), Black Hole would serve as a minor ally during the Perfect Origin Arc.
In Japanese, during the first Kinnikuman anime, Black Hole would be voiced by Daisuke Gori who also voiced other Kinnikuman characters like Robin Mask as well as other characters such as Pigma Dengar from Star Fox and Mr. Satan from Dragon Ball.
During the Dream Chojin Tag Arc and the fourth Kinnikuman movie, Black Hole would be voiced by Kazuhiko Kishino who also voiced other Kinnikuman characters like Mayumi Kinniku and Neptuneman as well as other characters like Dr. Hell from Shin Mazinger Z: The Impact Kousoku Sentai and Fossil Bohma from Turborangers.
In the Perfect Origin Arc, Black Hole would be voiced by Toshiya Miyata.
Appearance[]
Black Hole is a tall, muscular humanoid who stands at 201 centimetres or 6 foot 6 inches. Black Hole's skin color is entirely black, matching his name. On his pectoral muscles, there are two bright red letters, the letters "B" and "H", his initials.
His most notable feature is the large hole in his face that goes all the way through the other side, allowing someone to see through Black Hole's head. Above the hole is a bright red star and two bright red dots on both sides, these dots may be Black Hole's eyes.
Black Hole wears very little clothing, only wearing bright red shorts, boots and gloves. When using his Red Mantle of Death, Black Hole dons a bright red cape.

Out of everyone in Black Hole's life, he trusts Pentagon, his cousin, the most, even more than all of the Devil Chojin despite him being a Justice Chojin.
As a child, Black Hole and Pentagon grew up together with Pentagon protecting Black Hole from their childhood bullies and they would form a tag team together, teaching each other their abilities and greatest moves which they would use to beat their childhood bullies. When Pentagon had to leave, the two would promise each other that they would meet against and change the world.
When they reunited, Black Hole and Pentagon would learn that the other chose a different path in life with Black Hole becoming a Devil Chojin and Pentagon becoming a Justice Chojin. This would initially cause a rift in the two's friendship, however, they would each begin to worry about each other immensely.
Pentagon would become angry with Black Hole but Black Hole would justify it by showing that the Bermuda III were inadvertently stopping all of the other children from becoming criminals themselves and so Black Hole would act as the necessary evil that would put them all in their place. Pentagon hated this but deep inside he wanted to see Black Hole achieve his dreams.
After Black Hole lost to Kinnikuman and was sentenced to death, Pentagon would find him in a near-death state. As Black Hole died, he and Pentagon promised to start all over again and become friends when Black Hole revived, the two agreeing to become the world's strongest Chojin together.
When they lost during the Universal Chojin Tag Tournament, neither of them blamed the other, instead promising that they would keep trying and that they would eventually prove themselves.
During his fight against Jack Chi, Black Hole would accidentally absorbs Pentagon who would try to convince Black Hole to transform into him. Black Hole would refuse, not wanting to drag his best friend into the war between the Devil Chojin and Perfect Chojin but Pentagon would insist, telling Black Hole that as a Devil, he should use any means necessary to win

Bermuda III[]
The Bermuda III were Black Hole's childhood bullies who would harass and beat Black Hole down. As such, he hated them and wanted to eventually beat them up to prove that he was better than them.
After he and Pentagon did so, Black Hole would realise that the Bermuda III's bullying was the only thing keeping all the other children in line, inadvertently stopping them from becoming violent without any self-restraint. So Black Hole would work with the Bermuda III to dominate their home, Black Hole trusting the Bermuda III to do what's right.
When Black Hole left to become a Devil Chojin, he would leave the Bermuda III in charge, knowing that they would maintain the peace of their home.

Just like the rest of the Seven Devil Chojin, Black Hole respects Buffaloman, seeing him as their leader and the strongest out of their group.
When Buffaloman returned to being a Devil Chojin, Black Hole would punch Buffaloman in the face before calling it even and welcoming him back.

As Black Hole's teacher, Black Hole has a lot of respect for Sneagator, willing to do anything in his power to follow his orders as best as he could, something that Sneagator took notice of. Black Hole and Buffaloman would be the only members of the Seven Devil Chojin to impress Sneagator's high standards as the two would always succeed at tasks the other five Devil Chojin would fail at.
After Sneagator was killed by Ganman, Black Hole wanted to personally avenge his death as a way to succeed his master, proving to him and the world that Sneagator's training wasn't wasted.

Black Hole made a deal with Satan in exchange for power, becoming a Devil Chojin and would be trained by the Six Devil Knights until he and the rest of the Seven Devil Chojin were sealed away for their brutality, during this time, Black Hole would personally kill one hundred Justice Chojin.
Kinnikuman[]
Black Hole would make his first appearance after Kinnikuman would accidentally free the Seven Devil Chojin and they attack Warsman before the Devil Chojin would try to fight Kinnikuman to prove how powerful they were. When Kinnikuman refused, they attacked Meat, splitting his body into pieces, with Black Hole getting one of Meat's arms, which could be brought back together, however, if they stayed apart for 10 days then he would die.
After Stereo-Cassette King was defeated by Kinnikuman, Black Hole would be the second Devil Chojin to face him. He would wait for Kinnikuman to show up, however, when he didn't, Black Hole would throw Meat's arm into a fire but Terryman disguised as Kinnikuman would save it, buying Kinnikuman enough time to show up to fight. Suddenly a dome would appear and surround the ring, Black Hole would convince Kinnikuman and the crowd that the dome was being used to make him and Kinnikuman warm during their fight, however, this was done so Black Hole could fight in his ideal conditions.
Kinnikuman would leap into the air and try to punch Black Hole's face but would get his arm stuck in Black Hole's face hole and Black Hole would beat him up. Kinnikuman would try to deliver a dropkick to Black Hole's chest, however, Black Hole would make a hole appear in his chest that Kinnikuman would fall through. Black Hole would then sink into the ground as a shadow before sneaking up on Kinnikuman to grab him from behind and perform a suplex.
Black Hole would sink into the shadows again, leaving Kinnikuman confused about where he was before sneaking up on him and getting Kinnikuman into a cobra twist hole but Kinnikuman would toss Black Hole off of him. Black Hole would become a shadow and split into many duplicates of himself, each of which would beat Kinnikuman down. Kinnikuman would leap into the air and have the sunlight reflect off of his sweat to spread intense light everywhere, making the duplicates disappear and letting Kinnikuman do a body slam on him.
Black Hole would then use his face hole to suck in Kinnikuman, trapping him into the fourth-dimensional space. Black Hole thought that he had won, however, Kinnikuman would open up a crack in the fourth-dimensional space with a White Hole. Kinnikuman would drop out of the sky and deliver an elbow to Black Hole's head, killing him instantly.
Despite being dead, The Mountain and the other deceased Devil Chojin had subjected Kinnikuman to the Blood Bind during his battle with Atlantis, preventing him from fighting at full strength and leaving him open to Atlantis' attacks. It wouldn't be until Terryman and Brocken Jr. would enter the spirit realm to attack the deceased Devil Chojin, stopping the Blood Bind.
After he and the rest of the Seven Devil Chojin were revived, they would all be killed and decapitated by the Six Devil Knights as punishment for losing to the Justice Chojin.
Black Hole would be revived again and would team up with his cousin, Pentagon so they could achieve their shared dream of winning the Universal Chojin Tag Tournament and earning the Universal Chojin Tag Team trophy, proving to the world that they are the best tag team to exist.
Movie 4: Counterattack! The Underground Space Chojin[]
Note: The Kinnikuman movies are non-canonical to the rest of the Kinnikuman anime or manga.
Black Hole would be revived by Hydra King alongside Sunshine, Ashuraman and Black Rain, each of them being powered up by Hydra King with Black Hole becoming New Black Hole and would become members of the Underground Space Chojin. They would invade Earth under Hydra King's command alongside all of the men under their command.
This would turn out to be a distraction used so the Underground Space Chojin could gain Robin Mask's Memo which contained all of the weaknesses of the Justice Chojin. Once Hydra King revealed that he had the memo, New Black Hole and his allies would kidnap Robin Mask while he was distracted and take him to planet Hydra.
After Robin Mask is kidnapped, New Black Hole would travel back to planet Hydra and wait for the Justice Chojin to show up and travel through the arenas filled with their weaknesses to easily defeat them, however, they would soon learn that what Robin Mask considers to be weaknesses are things that the Justice Chojin like and would distract them from their jobs so instead of hurting them, it motivated them even more to save Robin Mask.
New Black Hole would stop Ramenman from processing to save Robin Mask, fighting him in a one-on-one battle with New Black Hole beating him down until Robin Mask would use the last of his strength to reveal the weak points of the Underground Space Chojin, allowing Ramenman to strike the weak point on New Black Hole's chest, making him explode and killing him.
Kinnikuman (2011)[]
Once the Perfect Chojin appeared, the Seven Devil Chojin would be sent out to combat them with Black Hole travelling to Great Wall in China in order to fight against Dalmatiman who was ambushed by Black Hole who punched and kicked him.
Dalmatiman tried to kick Black Hole's head but he opened the hole in his face so the kick went through him before spinning to slam Dalmatiman to the ground. Black Hole then quickly sinks into the ground and hides in Dalmatiman's shadow before leaping out and delivering a surprise suplex.
Dalmatiman kicks Black Hole off of him and tries to kick him but Black Hole dodges and sinks into the ground again, Dalmatiman tries to kick the shadow that Black Hole is pretending to be, but it split apart, making multiple Black Holes who all kicked Dalmatiman's head at the same time. All of the Black Hole clones came together and leapt into the air and headbutted Dalmatiman's stomach.
Dalmatiman used his Mouth Kennel to trap Black Hole in the hole in Dalmatiman's stomach but he escapes by turning into a shadow and he splits apart again but Dalmatiman is able to tell which one is the real Black Hole with his enhanced senses before turning his head into a hunting dog and biting the real Black Hole's head before throwing him into the air and repeatedly biting different parts of his body before piledriving him to the ground.
Black Hole tried to dive into the shadows again but Dalmatiman spat out his Salivating Shield, amplifying the sunlight and making the shadows disappear. Black Hole then tried to suck in Dalmatiman into the black hole on his head but he shoots out his spots to block it off before beating on Black Hole while he's distracted, seemingly killing him but Black Hole gets back up.
Black Hole dislodges the shot that was stuck in his head by using the corner post but making his fall off and slamming his back onto an iron pole, making a hole in his back before going down again. Black Hole then sucks in Dalmatiman but even more intensely, fully sucking in Dalmatiman.
Dalmatiman realises he's trapped inside of Black Hole and looks for which hole to escape out of, choosing a bone-shaped one to escape out of but was immediately kneed in the head by Black Hole the second after he escapes, Black Hole reveals that he made a bone-shaped wound on his back with the iron bar in order to make Dalmatiman choose it because of his animal instincts. Black Hole then grabs Dalmatiman and piledrives him to the ground, winning the match.
Dalmatiman stands back up, realising that he must kill himself after losing. He goes to leap on a sharpened pole nearby but Black Hole stops him from fulfilling his Perfect Chojin code, using his cape as a sharp blade to decapitate Dalmatiman, killing him before he could kill himself.
At the Tottori Sand Dunes, Black Hole would run into one of the doorways, reappearing at the fourth step where he would fight against Jack Chi.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin granted strength by Satan, Black Hole has immense strength, speed and durability far above most other Chojin who already have the ability to perform superhuman feats. Other abilities that Chojin have that Black Hole likely has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
- Black Hole Absorption: The hole on Black Hole's face is an actual black hole that he can use to suck in any opponent, trapping them in a fourth-dimensional space. While in the fourth-dimensional space, an opponent will continuously be harmed. The only way to escape is by travelling through a hole in the fourth-dimensional space that appears when Black Hole is damaged.
- 4D Warp: Black Hole is able to teleport his body to any location that he wishes. Anything or anyone who enters the hole on his face will be brought with him.
- Shadow Travel: Black Hole is able to sink his entire body into shadows and travel along them. Black Hole needs a shadow to do this and will in a shadow, he can be harmed by attacking the shadow he is in.
- Shadow-Clone Execution-Special: Black Hole is able to duplicate himself in a horde of exact duplicates of himself, each of these duplicates are just as strong as Black Hole, however, only one of them is real and can be damaged but enough intense light will make all of the clones disappear.
- Red Mantle of Death: Black Hole is able to sprout a crimson red cape out of his back. He uses it as a weapon, using its razor-sharp edge to decapitate defeated opponents.
- Fourth Dimension Element Cross: During his fight against Jack Chi, Black Hole would accidentally absorbs Pentagon into his body, allowing Black Hole to transform into him by turning his body inside out. While transformed into Pentagon, Black Hole would gain access to all of his time-manipulating abilities.
- Angel Wing Claws: While changed into Pentagon, Black Hole is able to use the wings sticking out of his back as a weapon to slash an opponent with and to flap so fast that he can redirect projectiles back at whoever he is fighting.
- Chronos Change: While changed into Pentagon, Black Hole is able to manipulate time by turning the pentagon on his face, using it to switch places with whoever he's fighting, often using it to reverse a hold so Black Hole can use their hold against them.
Trivia[]
- Black Hole's official place of origin is stated to be the Bermuda Triangle.
- However, in Deep of Muscle 9, the story states that Black Hole was born and lived in a special extra-terrestrial space that has a wormhole connected to Bermuda.
- Black Hole is one of the few characters from the Kinnikuman manga to become an antagonist in a Kinnikuman movie with Black Hole being a minor antagonist during Kinnikuman Movie 4: Counterattack! The Underground Space Chojin, the only other antagonists that have also done this are Sunshine, Ashuraman and Akuma Shogun.
- Black Hole is the only one of the Seven Devil Chojin to become an antagonist of a Kinnikuman movie, likely because of his appearance during the Dream Chojin Tag Arc which Sunshine and Ashuraman also appeared in.
- Aside from Buffaloman, Black Hole is the only currently surviving member of the Seven Devil Chojin and is the only character to win against two members of the Perfect Large Numbers (Dalmatiman and Jack Chi).
- Black Hole is the Devil Chojin with the most expansive backstory and the highest number of family members to be confirmed to exist, with that being four, his cousins Pentagon and Apegon, his father Bermuda and his uncle Hexagon.
- Black Hole is one of the members of the Seven Devil Chojin to not be replaced after the group's introduction (the others being Buffaloman, Atlantis and Springman).
