“ | Black Knight: Agent Six and Holiday took indefinite leave; they've been off the grid ever since. I've attempted to contact them, but, no response. Rex: Mind if I give 'em a ring? Not that I don't trust you. Black Knight: [sarcasm] Glad you don't trust me. Natural, given the circumstances. Be my guest. Black Knight: [after Rex gets disconnected] It won't be long till we locate them. Meanwhile, there are many familiar faces who'd be glad to hear you're back. Which reminds me, [tosses Rex a sack] this is everything we salvaged from your room. Rex: [opening the sack to find his ball] Wow, talk about starting over. |

~ Black Knight demonstrating her scheming and manipulative skills. |
Black Knight is the overarching antagonist of the animated series Generator Rex.
She is a mysterious and enigmatic woman who replaced White Knight as the head of Providence sometime during the six months that Rex went missing. She claims to be dedicated to the humane tracking, containing, and curing of E.V.O.s, but secretly has her own agenda involving Rex and his nanites.
She was voiced by Jennifer Hale.
Personality[]
Black Knight is a cool-headed, dishonest, and cunning woman who never shows any traces of emotion and maintains her composure under pressure.
In an effort to help Rex adjust to the changes they had made after White Knight was fired from the organization, she welcomed him with compassion and provided him with food when he finally arrived in Providence after the six-month break. Despite her initial politeness, it quickly became apparent that she just saw Rex as a valued possession.
She is shown to be cunning and cruel, readily manipulating words and directing the usage of the mind control device in an effort to coerce Rex into cooperating.
The fact that Black Knight declared her plan to betray her employers, the Consortium, and take the power of the Meta-Nanites for herself suggests that she has a yearning for power. She assassinated Vostok and took over the Consortium, demonstrating her willingness to do whatever it takes to obtain what she wants.
Biography[]
Nothing is known about Black Knight's past.
At some point, Black Knight would begin working with the Consortium her connection to this group, would eventually put her into contact with several members of the original nanite project, including Caesar Salazar, Peter Meechum, and Van Kleiss, who all seemed to display a certain level of animosity and discontent towards her. It is eventually revealed that Black Knight was actually an early test subject for the project much like Rex, and like him, she gained a very similar set of abilities from the procedure. Since she had been converted into an EVO after him, Black Knight would later go on to describe her own powers as being a more updated version of Rex's EVO powers.
Because of her close connections with the Consortium, she was eventually handpicked by the group to become White Knight's successor roughly six months prior to Rex's reemergence. Black Knight would claim that she had been given the position after White Knight suffered a nervous breakdown and attempted a hostile takeover of the organization.
Powers and Abilities[]
With complete command over her followers and a keen understanding of tactical strategies, Black Knight is an extremely powerful foe. She is incredibly vicious and will stop at nothing to further her dominance. Black Knight regularly goes the field and is more than eager to confront her foes in direct battle, in contrast to White Knight who spent much of his time cowering in his office.
She demonstrated her proficiency with weapons when she utilized a nanite disruptor to break free of an EVO's hold. She is also an expert user of handguns and machine guns. Black Knight is also armed with a retractable, purple, electrified mace-whip and has an arm cannon that can shoot devastating energy blasts. The latter, which she uses without hesitation, has the power to harm and paralyze opponents upon impact. In addition, Black Knight has shown she is an expert in hand-to-hand fighting and possesses impressive athleticism. She has even been seen fighting Agent Six, and by seizing and using one of his dropped swords, she was able to counter several of his blows.
Although she appears to be a normal person when fighting, Black Knight is actually a strong EVO. She, like Rex, was an early Nanite Project test subject, although she refers to him as a guinea pig and claims that her talents are an enhanced version of his. She possesses bright eyes and luminous markings on her face and body when she uses her EVO powers. She, like Rex, is capable of creating weapons and machines from her body.
She asserts, however, that her builds are more strong. Apart from being fully formed of purple energy, there are some apparent changes between Rex's constructions. Her whip, like her personal electrified mace, does not require a generator on her back and has a club at the end. Her BFS is shorter but more energetic, making it stronger. The third distinction is that her Slam Cannon does not require ammo and can fire a limitless number of lasers. Her EVO powers were substantially increased after absorbing the power of a Meta-Nanite, and her builds resembled Rex's almost exactly.

Trivia[]
- Black Knight is a dark parallel to her predecessor White Knight (both figuratively and literally). Both have lead the organization of Providence with significant power and shared the same mission of busting EVOs. However, White Knight has only targeted EVOs as a way of contributing to society's overall safety, but has later grew to accept them, as well, once he realized their positive potentials (with Rex Salazar being his biggest example). Black Knight, on the other hand, targets every possible EVO under her rule diabolically (unless, of course, if they follow her ideas) and does not truly care about anyone but herself. If White Knight never knew sooner that not all EVOs are hostile or dangerous, he could end up like Black Knight.
