The Black Magic Sword (黑色魔劍) is a titular minor antagonist of Taiwanese animated series Brave Animated Series, based on the comic Brave Series (勇者系列) by Yellow Book. He serves as the Vice Dean of the Magic Academy and is the ruthless mastermind behind the Blade Armor Corps project.
He is voiced by Taiwanese dubbing actor Huang Tien-yu.
Story[]
Black Magic Sword is introduced as the Vice Dean of the Magic Academy who, in collaboration with the Librarian Witch, embarked on a highly unethical military project. He discovered a powerful Lonely General the "Freak" with exceptional combat data analysis capabilities. He exploited the Freak's abilities, allowing the Library Witch to resurrect the Freak and keep him imprisoned within a blissful dream (a vast library) while secretly using his brain to process combat data intercepted from defeated Brave, including Chief Brave. His ultimate goal was to use this data to create the "Blade Armor Corps," an army specialized in combating the Fallen Mad Demon, thereby securing the Academy's authority and advancing his own power. He is highly self-satisfied with the progress of the project, viewing the Freak solely as a means to an end.

- Manipulative: He feigned benevolence to the Library Witch to gain access to the Freak's power, immediately seizing the opportunity to exploit the being for military science.
- Arrogant: He expresses immense pride and certainty in his experiments, believing his success will establish the Magic Academy's unshakable influence.
- Emotionless: He shows no remorse for imprisoning or experimenting on another sentient being, justifying his actions by claiming he enabled the Freak to "realize the value of his existence". He treats his colleagues and subordinates with a sense of superior control.
Appearance[]
The skin color of his face is pale, adding a touch of unhealthy gloom. His eyes are long and thin, with drooping lids that form visible bags under his eyes, along with slightly upturned corners of the eyes. The pupil color is dark green or cyan, and the tip of his nose is slightly downward. His sideburns are grayish-white and combed upwards, while the top of the head is covered by a black cape or short hair. He has a black goatee that extends from the lower lip to the chin. He wears a long-sleeved dark gray shirt and trousers of a simple design. His shirt has a stand-up collar with several dark buttons. He is covered by a large black cloak with a dark red lining, the cloak has a high collar with a stand-up collar and distinctive stiff structures on both shoulders, resembling small shoulder armor.
