Black Pearl Cookie, (formerly known as White Pearl Cookie), is a legendary cookie and a supporting antagonist in Cookie Run: Kingdom, appearing as the main antagonist of the "Legend of the Duskgloom Sea" event. She was released as a playable character on September 6th, 2022 alongside Captain Caviar Cookie.
She is voiced by Bang Yeon-ji in Korean, Atsumi Tanezaki in Japanese, and Erica Mendez (who also voices White Lily Cookie in the same game, as well as Uraume, Louisa May Alcott, Ryuko Matoi, Pac-Man, Retsuko, Hilda and Wang Ai Ling) in English.
Appearance[]
As White Pearl Cookie, her rod had a conch shell with a pearl on top of it. However, most of her former and current appearances remains the same, sans the white pearls on her hair, her ears being more angelic(shaped like and anglerfish's fins as Black Pearl Cookie), the shell on her chest being a different design, and the transparent fabric was longer before being corrupted into who she is now.
Personality[]
As White Pearl Cookie, she was nice and caring towards her sisters and those who understood her lack of powers.
Currently as Black Pearl Cookie, she is vengeful and cunning to sailors who do not listen to her words.
Biography[]
Past[]
Black Pearl Cookie was once a part of the Tearcrown Kingdom as White Pearl Cookie. She lived with her older sisters named Crimson Coral, Aquamarine, Gold Citrine, and Mystic Opal Cookie. She was waiting for her day to receive new powers from the Sea and to become a Gem Mermaid. During the Sea Foam Rite ceremony, White Pearl Cookie couldn't feel anything and unfortunately didn't receive any new powers. Feeling disappointment, White Pearl Cookie gets captured in a net by Abalone Cookie's crew and was put in a tank.
While trying to break free from the tank, Lord Oyster visits White Pearl Cookie and the two began to grow a strong bond towards each other. Right after Crimson Coral Cookie rescued White Pearl, the latter saves Lord Oyster and gives him a pearl as a promise to prevent him from getting soggy in the Sea and wants him to return once he completes all of his goals. White Pearl began to feel shaky, but she still trusts Lord Oyster and considers herself loved by the Sea and the Cookies.
Legend of the Duskgloom Sea[]
Black Pearl Cookie is the ruler of the Duskgloom Sea and the Black Pearl Islands, an archipelago where anyone who enters the area will never leave alive.
At one point, Captain Caviar Cookie and his crew sailed into the islands. Captain Caviar Cookie decided to investigate the underwater debris beneath the archipelago, and encounters Black Pearl Cookie. After mentioning a supposed associate, Black Pearl Cookie flies into a rage and attempts to take him and Candy Diver Cookie.
